I was just about to write something similar to this, but you beat me to it. People are communal by nature. Adding on to that, most people that solicit leaving or quitting something, are really looking for others to convince them otherwise.

Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"
