New recipes and new items in the new patch 3.5

Uhhhhhhh....if Blacksmith doesn't get any new recipes at all, how are those of us who have already crafted every item going to unlock the new achievement for it? Normally achievements like this that people already have the requirements for are unlocked upon doing one more thing that counts towards the achievement. Hopefully just crafting any old thing and not something you've never crafted before will still unlock or I will be a very unhappy camper.

If you really made every item that has a checklist then just synthesize anything and you'll get the achievement.

[EDIT: Thankfully, it seems SE is aware of all this stuff below and this is mentioned in the Known Achievement Issues post, so all will be sorted out in due time....grumble grumble]

That's not the way it worked before with achievements like this and having logged in and tried, it doesn't work now. This is beyond stupid. I can't get most of these achievements since you have to gather/craft something that counts for completion that you haven't gathered/crafted before to trigger it...but most of the classes did not have anything added this patch that counts. Most new crafts are under the books, which do not count, even if you've never crafted them. A couple classes are OK like CRP with the low level picture frame and GSM has a couple items under the old housing list you can use, but classes like BSM and ARM are screwed since there were no new items added at all to BSM and no new items added to ARM that count for completion.

Oh and did I mention there are only 153 unique mining items? And the achievement is for 160?

Going through my lists, this is the current situation with these achievements for those that had complete logs before 3.5:

Mining: Impossible for everyone, there are only 153 items possible to gather right now.

Botany: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Fishing: Possible, but you will have to catch one of the new big fish to unlock the achievement, which is annoying.

Carpenter: The new Grade 1 Picture Frame and Yarn Basket furnishings are under the old Housing list of recipes, so they count and will unlock the achievement.

Blacksmith: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Armorer: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Goldsmith: the Ivy Pillar and Pendant Lamp Planter are under the old Housing list, so they will count.

Leatherworker: The Raptorskin Shoes (poor man's pteroskin shoes) were added to the 41-45 level crafting recipes, so they will count.

Weaver: the new Wool glamour set (poor man's flannel) were added to 41-45, so they will count.

Alchemist: The new cherry blossom corsages added to the 51-55 level crafting recipes and the Paissa Topiary furnishing count.

Culinarian: The new Riviera Breakfast is under the Housing list, so it will count.

So that's 4 classes it is impossible for me to get the achievement for at the moment. GG.
