The 7 players who did this deserve all cred in the world because they are doing it better than most 8 people do that have a static.

So shaming 8 people who are trying their best at content is ok because 7 other people, unrelated to the 8 beforehand, did a better job with less people?

Sure it took me almost a month to grind up the gil for it but I respected that content was hard and would not cry because I was not good enough

And this here is the problem - not with you personally, but in general. People are fine with playing this game for a month, doing a mindless grind (if we accept to believe that they earned their gil in a decent way...), spending hours and hours to be able to afford something - when they could have used that time to improve themselves! But oh no, thats just not an option, is it? Not when you want to "play" this game watching your anime on the second screen - thats how I get all my crafting and gathering done at least.

As much as I dislike nerfs, they're a different thing - they mostly make old content easier so it wont need as much effort to clear it later on when its dead content - and therefor making it easier to get a group together and make progress, or even get the clear. New content can be more difficult because more old (and hopefully skilled) people are around doing it, farming it, being interested in it.

I'm not going to tell anyone how to play, but saying someone earned a kill or thats okay to earn a kill like that because they put effort into a mindless grind instead of improving is excatly whats hurting the community and the content. And for that you dont deserve any credit - if you want that: Go and make this a challenge for yourself (like people use to make 8/7-warrior (+healer) runs or such), not a buisness.

Thats why I said "If we're going to believe that they earned this gil".
So even if OP (and anyone else who likes selling kills...) tries to get away with "we're not supporting RMT through this" by saying "people earnt this kill legit, by earning the money for this in a legit way".

However you got the money: for me it will never be legit to get a kill (specially in recent content; old, dead content is a bit excluded here) through other means than learning the fight and earning that kill.
Again, not gonna tell people how to play their game but each parties, buyer and seller are to "blame" here, in my opinion at least.
(and running around like the OP does here would be considered bad taste amongst "honest" sellers afaik - you keep your mouth shut about your sell-runs. If you want to brag about your 7man-skills, let the last memember of your static run into that wall or something like that)
