As I stand looking out from my window, I reminisce about the old days and the many ups and downs of my adventures throughout Eorzea.
It is then that I know achievement.
A slightly wrong English Teacher actually. When fish are of the same species, eg mackerel, then you would say you had a tank of fish. If the fishes are of various species then you would have a tank of fishes.
It is perfectly normal & even preferred to use fishes as the plural unless you know for certain that all are the same species/type.

No worries mate! Sorry, I couldn't resist that. XD It's one of those words that the vast majority of people would only know the quirks of if they had been specifically told. English is perhaps one of the most difficult languages to learn when it comes to things like that, even for native speakers. Bow, bow & bough springs to mind! >_<
