Tiramisu's method is better, but I use the same hotbar for PvE and PvP and just swapping some actions through macros.

For example, that's how my first PvE bar for summoner looks like. All commonly used actions like DoTs are there.



When I want to switch to PvP hotbar, I use macro

/crosshotbar action "Mana Draw" 1 1
/crosshotbar action "Purify" 1 2
/crosshotbar action "Aetheric Burst" 1 3
/crosshotbar action "Wither" 1 4

And hotbar turns into



with PvP actions taking place of DoTs (do you know that nerfed Bio does less damage through its whole duration than one Ruin III? I'd rather spam Ruin III with MP leeching from Mana Draw).

Now, when I want to get back to PvE bar I use macro

/crosshotbar action "Bio II" 1 1
/crosshotbar action "Miasma" 1 2
/crosshotbar action "Bio" 1 3
/crosshotbar pet "Contagion" 1 4

/hotbar copy mnk 1 pgl 1
/hotbar copy mnk 2 pgl 2

OK now those are saved! You can now change those 1-4 hotbars to your pvp setup. Then:

I think I get the 2nd example, but I got lost with the first example,. how do these commands work? I'd like to look into ways to use this, outside of how I already use my hotbars.

Jobs and classes have different hotbars, so he just copies them from monk to pugilist forth and back.

in the 2nd example i assume they are Setting the 1st horbar, in the 1st slot, with an ability, but but in the 1st example, he is copying mnk1, pgl1, which i dont understand
how is copying both monk1, and pgl1 working? and what is 1? hotbar1?

Sorry, let me try to explain a bit more.

In my example, the pgl hotbars are being used as "save states". Seeing as once you are mnk you will probably never play pgl again you can safely save hotbar configurations here. In my example, when I use the first set of commands I am saving my PvE and PvP configurations off to pgl hotbars. Yes, the 1 is the entire first hotbar. The latter two macros are taking those saved hotbars and overwriting my current monk hotbar. This way I can easily swap between my pvp and PvE hotbars. I'll try to add pictures when I am home to make it easier to understand, sorry.

I dont know why i never considered this. i've been saving the states of my chotbars on jobs i dont play. Placing them on their respective DoW/DoM classes just changed everything for me. Thank you so much!
