Am I the only one who wants a very long msq line in stromblood ?

To me, it's not about the size of the story. It's about the quality of the events.

I'm perfectly fine with 50 quests if they are 50 engaging quests that 95% of the playerbase would never wanna miss out on. I'm not fine with 50 good and interesting quests sandwiched between 100s of fetch quests.

I joined this game because it was a very story-oriented MMO. So yeah. I'm also excited to see what kind of cliffhanger SE is going to leave us on in the next couple of patches.

I'm thinking 3.5 will be the last bit of story before Stormblood... With 3.55 coming in March according to the trailer and Stormblood set to come in June...

And going by 3.4's story... The Griffin, whoever he actually is, will play a huge role in the end of HW's story and set up of the expansion...

Its apparently not quite like that. 3.5 is this Tuesday, 3.55 is in February, and 3.5 part 2 is in March. Some of the story we saw in the trailer will be in March but it was non-spoilery so Omega and the Wall are for sure on part 1.

Why they didn't just go 3.5/3.51/3.55 I have no idea but there you go.

I would love more story in 4.0. One of the things I really liked in 3.0 was the story oriented side quests. There was on in the Convectors and on in Tailfeather and one with the Durgan Daycare. Even the Moogle one with the Mog guard. I just get nervous at times that they are going to Kill off another NPC that I really liked.

Dont want this either and the reasoning behind it is silly, if I wanted my chocobo to get used to the land then I'd just fly them and explore just sounds like they wanted to pad things out to make base HW seem longer.

You're not the only one. SE actually got better at MSQ. Just compare ARR and HW MSQ.
There are some filters here and there but still better.

I'm crazy in love with this game's story. I just don't like being blocked over inconvenient things. Heavensward's pacing is greatly improved over ARR, but ilevel and traveling at the speed of snail unless you unlock aether currents to fly is a real, major pain. I get it, explore. But it's incredibly redundant to explore on my own, make it to Zenith, then have to fight forced mobs along the way.

Still, the more lore revealed the more I'm going to keep giving SE my money.
