Good sir, was that a quote about Dragon Age II, etc. giving (homo/bi)sexual choices? I believe I remember reading this somewhere and I swelled up with pride. But you already have masculine choices to choose from where as the person that wants the feminine male has none. Why should they have no options so that you can have one more?
To quote a very wise man in the gaming industry when faced with a similar predicament:
"the truth is that privilege always lies with the majority. They're so used to being catered to that they see the lack of catering as an imbalance. They don't see anything wrong with having things set up to suit them, what's everyone's fuss all about? That's the way it should be, any everyone else should be used to not getting what they want."
Obviously they are adding this option to offer an alternative that does not currently exist. Why should you really expect them to give you yet another option and deny others who don't even have one to their liking?
The World is taking (small) great steps into the future.
