Please learn from Y'shtola/Thancred (a bit of spoilers)

One never knows how important one's senses are until we lose them.
This past week I lost taste of food and is now recently only coming back

Let's not forget what happened to Y'shtola and Thancred and please be careful

I just think sometimes writers and artists (like Yoshida and his story team) make these amazing real life connections that I think we need to stop taking for granted. About friends, life, etc

    Anyway that's my story..
    It's getting better at least

It's scary how much we take for granted in life. Even the smallest things that we never think about can change our lives in huge ways once we lose them. I think it's a good reminder to always take a look around us and appreciate everything we have. Glad your taste is coming back. Hope you make a full recovery.

We really do take a lot of things for granted. Buckle up for a story, it's a personal one, but I'm gonna share.

When I was seventeen I ended up with really bad back pain. The doctors weren't sure what it was. In March I ended up feeling intense pain in my legs that woke me up. I can only describe it as a buzz saw made of fire slicing through me and I couldn't walk Turns out I had a staff infection inside of my spinal cord. The staff had grown to the size of a grape and cut off blood flow from the waste down. I was rushed into surgery at that point. At first there was no telling if I would walk again, and I was taught how to live my life in a wheelchair. I eventually gained my mobility back, but for several years I had to use a cane.

I'm sorry you've lost to ability to taste, I truly know what it's like to just not have something. Also I agree that it's interesting when characters in games also deal with having lost something. To me that really makes a character, a hero, shine.

You're really brave Dravion and I really admire that you believed in yourself so much. Also thank you for sharing your story also, it makes us understand that these things can happen to anyone and that we can overcome it. You will have my respect and thought.
I'm pulling through also..found out yesterday the cause of the problem..toxic fumes from old computer I had locked away. I know it's dumb of me but sometimes it's the simplest things we never think about but should.

    Ghastly,

Thank you for the kind words. That is an odd thing to cause such an illness, but you are correct in that it's sometimes the simplest things. I'm glad to hear that you are pulling through and wish you the speediest of recoveries.
