Hold on, those aren't professions like how you know them in other MMORPGs. Those are Disciples of the Hand and Land, individual classes fully fleshed out just like the battle classes. In other words, they're their own classes, and EXP gained goes to levelling the class you currently are.

If you can't equip gear obtained from Sastasha that means it's for a different class. Look at the 3-letter class abbreviations to see which classes can equip that item. If they're in white, it means your current class can equip it.

I really don't know what's causing those errors for you. All I can say is double check your payment information.

I did do satasha but I didnt get a full battle set. I got 2 items. Belt and boots and i should be able to equip them. It doesnt even provide a class requirement when i check the items stats. It just wont let me equip them. I am in gilgameshes novice network and its reallt helpful tbh. Oh and i know thats how the DoH DoL work. Im just stuck calling them professions from WoW haha
Also is Hall of the Novice a MSQ or just a SQ. And where is it ? Cause i dont remember doing it. I just finished. Tam tarn deepcroft or something like that. Thats where i am so far in the story. Though im gonna try and gear up before i move on.

There are only two reasons for not being able to equip a piece of gear - wrong class/job or too low level. All the items that drop from the first three dungeons are usable by level 15 characters so your level cannot be the problem. So you must have the wrong class for that item - the tooltip should say what classes it is for.

These days I think the MSQ will point you to the Hall of the Novice. Physically it is located in Western La Noscea, just opposite the entrance to Sastasha. You can also gain access to the Hall of the Novice training duties by talking to any of the Smith NPCs - you can find those in each starting city in the adventurers guild, as well as located right next to the entrance of all the early dungeons.

All gear items specify which classes (or jobs) can equip them. (On the tooltip it's below the top line where it gives damage numbers for weapons or defense numbers for armour, but above the "bonuses" section where it lists things like Intelligence or Strength.) They'll say either "All Classes", "Disciples of War", "Disciples of Magic", or give a list of class/job abbreviations, like "GLA MRD PLD WAR DRK" which means only those classes (tanks in this case) can equip it. As Thaumaturge, you'll want ones that say either "All Classes" or "Disciples of Magic", and then has bonuses boosting Intelligence. If you get one that says "Disciples of War" you can't equip it as Thaumaturge, but will be able to as Archer once you get that class up to its level.

I cant post in the gameplay or classes section yet so im just gonna put this here. Im level 20 now slowly gearing and stuff. But i feel like my damage isnt as strong as it should be. Whats the actual rotation for THM at my level ? Other classes lower then me manage to output way more damage.

You want to keep your Astral Fire buff up as much as possible. It boosts your damage. But you also go through MP fast in that mode, so when you run out, you need to switch to Umbral Ice, which (rather quickly) causes your MP to recover. The most fundamental part of your rotation revolves around switching back and forth between those two in order to manage your MP resources.

Thunder doesn't add to either of those buffs, but it does give you damage over time, so is good to keep up, at least when you have a very limited number of enemies, or a primary enemy. (It lacks an AoE version, though, so really isn't useful when facing a big group.)

So basically, you want to use Fire until out of MP, then Transpose into Umbral Ice mode and use Blizzard until your MP is back up.

With 3 or fewer enemies (or when quickly killing a particular enemy is important for clearing a DPS check):
You want the fist version of those two spells, which is stronger against a single target.
Keep the Thunder debuff up unless an enemy is expected to die before it would have time to get all the DoT ticks. But don't cast multiple Thunders in a row or your Fire/Ice buffs will wear off.

    With more than three enemies:
Fire II or Blizzard II is stronger against a group.
You won't have time to keep Thunder up against enough of them to be useful.

Scathe I've never found much use for except that it's an instant cast, so if you can't get off a Fire or Blizzard spell because mechanics require you to keep moving, then replacing it with Scathe is better than not doing any attack that turn.

Sleep is rather situational. It can help reduce incoming damage which can be useful (particularly with an inexperienced or under-geared tank or healer). But it means everyone has to focus on just the remaining (non-sleeping) enemies. If your teammates want to use AoE skills, or want to put up DoT debuffs on all enemies (Arcanists, for instance, are highly DoT focused), then Sleep won't work unless they scale back their own attacks to just the single target you've left for them. I usually end up not using Sleep in group content unless incoming damage is a real problem where the tank keeps dying. (I'll often use it when soloing, though.)

(Once you get up into your 30's and learn the third Fire/Blizzard spells, you won't need Transpose anymore, since those give you full stacks of the Astral Fire / Umbral Ice buffs immediately. At that point, each switch from one to the other would be with Fire III or Blizzard III, after which you go back to I or II until your next switch or until you get a proc to make version III free of cost.)

Ive realized my mana sometimes increases and i didnt realize it was from blizzard. Derp on my part. Also im planning on getting akeyboard for my ps4 and mouse instead of a controller. Will any usb KB and mouse work or does it need to be specific? Thanks again.

As soon as you complete your level 30 Thaumaturge quest (Facing Your Demons), the receptionist at the Thaumaturge guild will have a quest for you, Taking the Black, which unlocks Black Mage.

That's not so much about a derp on your part as it is about being poorly explained in-game. (The skill tooltips, for instance, point out that the Fire / Blizzard spells grant you "Astral Fire" or "Umbral Ice", but don't mention what effects those buffs have.) I thought for a long time that they each would just increase damage from the same spell and decrease it from the opposite, and that the only difference would be which element an enemy is more vulnerable to. (Elemental strengths and weaknesses are a major aspect of such skills in most other Final Fantasy games, but really aren't used in this one.)

Any USB keyboard/mouse will work. I use this keyboard just because it has a longer cord than most, and my couch is further from the PS4 than most USB keyboards are designed for. Some players go with wireless ones for the same reason, and from what I've heard, those seem to usually be supported as well.

Oh, if you're considering a fancy gaming keyboard or mouse with extra macro buttons and such, it would be wasted, as the PS4 only supports the standard stuff. (Not that the keyboard/mouse itself wouldn't be supported. It generally would. But its extra features wouldn't be supported, only the standard buttons.)
