As a healer, is it my job to DPS? A new perspective.

This game is designed so that healing requirements are extremely predictable and healers are powerful, so other roles trying to heal is almost always a waste of time (as opposed to healers using their non-healing time to DPS, which is desirable).

I didnt dispute that in my comment. I just stated that a dps/healer works, which actually agrees with what your saying, cos disc healer, was actually like a scholar, but was intentionally made to dps.

Again, healers are different in that they are all inherently hybrid since no one needs a full-time healer.

Given that the dedicated healers can meet healing requirements with plenty of actions to spare, DPS in this game don't benefit from having their allotment of abilities taken up by healer actions.

Basically, it would work if RDM were a healer Job, but since it's DPS, lack of healer functionality is for the best.

Perhaps this is why parsing is dicouraged by SE because it is often used maliciously against people. Anyone can look at anyones parse and tear their playing ability to shreds if they want to. Your always compaired to the best players and not everyone can live up to that expectation no matter how hard they try. A little off-topic but I wasnt the one that used a parse to call me a lyer

Well you did write "I was 95% active just healing , not overhealing either", and based on your public numbers, this is simply not true. Maybe you were trying to say that you didn't overheal significantly more than many other Scholars would in that fight, but to be fair that's not what you said. And if someone who isn't familiar with what the activity and overheal numbers usually look like, from reading your post they might get the impression that you actually healed perfectly effectively while using almost all cooldowns it is possible to use in the fight, which is a completely wrong impression. Also, you were the one bringing your own parse numbers up, no one else dug them up from thin air, and they were only used against you if you view estimating what you said based on the public proof as an attack. I did say you're either misreading the numbers or lying because what you actually said can't really be backed up by your numbers.

Maybe because all of my numbers are not up there? I did actually say 'once' as well. I did not say perfectly either, nor do I proffess to be perfectly effective. My point was that Im actively healing.November was quite a while ago, I have learned a few safe windows since then. But tbh Im not that interested in hardcore numbers. Id just like to enjoy the game if its allowed.
