SE Please Don't Change The Way Chocobos Are Party Members

I'm guessing that the OP hasn't seen the recent live letters.

it's too late snice coming in 3.5 chocobos will be pets instead of party members, allowing us to have 8 chocobo out in a party of 8 people and go forbid be able to queue with chocobo out

Incidentally, while Away status is certainly an option, SE should offer something more explicit. Why should anyone be forced to imply that I'm AFK to avoid RMT party invites? Can't there be a simple setting, overridden by Duty Finder / Party Finder, that indicates whether you are accepting parties (with exceptions allowed for FC / LS / FL members)?

There should also be a similar setting built for Free Company invites especially (auto-declining ones that don't come from a 'known' source to the player), and probably an auto-decline option for Friend List invites as well.

I thought this would be about the poor 6 months that the PS3 players have to deal with every single person at a hunt having chocobos out. Which also isn't a valid reason for this to not be implemented (as scary and hilarious the prospect of post 3.5 hunts are)

Yep. It only limits receiving tells or party invites.

Let their invite sit there. You're free of spam for 5 minutes if you do that.

It doesn't really seem that common though anyways to get invite spammed. And yes, I do play on servers other than Balmung, so don't say I don't know the problem because of my server.
