Just came back to the game after a long break. Questions ahead.

Hello! So, do to life situations (my girlfriend gave birth to my son, so taking care of her and now taking care of him ) I haven't gotten to play for a while. Somewhere around about 8 or so m I think last I played was a bit after heavensward came out.

    So my questions are,

With 4.0 coming out, are the new jobs gonna be locked behind story like the heavensward jobs? And what's the current fastest way to level. I'm at 51, almost 52 on my main but also have other jobs I want to level up.

The new jobs will be placed in the 2.0 areas and accessible at level 50. Although I cannot confirm, it seems to be widely believed that Red Mage will be accessible from Ul'dah. This is so you don't have to complete the storyline to 4.0 in order to access the new job. The other new job(s) will likewise be placed in 2.0 areas and be made accessible at level 50. Your place in the MSQ will not affect access to the jobs (as far as I know). The only requirement would be having a class/job at level 50.

As for anything cool, that's rather subjective. You'll have to be more specific. Do you want MSQ spoilers? Info on PvP?

Also (and sorry for multi posts, I'm on my phone) that's good to know they will put the 4.0 jobs in our normal areas.

Well, as a given, read the patch notes of the ones you missed to see what's new since. And you can edit your initial post to circumvent the size limit.

Last FanFest it was said the plan currently is to have the new jobs in ARR areas, but still no word on the actual story requirement. Do the main story and your dailies on your main and you won't have trouble reaching 60. For the rest, there are many things here and there you can use to level among daily roulettes, HW beast tribes, daily hunts, Palace of the Dead, regular dungeons and the odd FATE you find on the way.

Well, "Cool," is still fairly subjective.

Y'shtola and Thancred's new looks and hairstyles are on the Mog Station.
There are new sets in-game that some might find, 'Cool.' (I like the look of the shire stuff, the new Tomestone sets)
The Orchestrion has gotten new music added to it.
    There are new hairstyles.

If you're asking whether or not we've had a change to how patches usually work, I would say no. We've had the usual seasonal events, some cross-game events (The Yokai thing), etc...

Play through the MSQ to get a character to 60. as soon as 1 character hits 60 you gain an exp buff for the others. personally i've been using Palace of the Dead to level. not only do you get exp but you can also earn yourself a high level weapon

My advice is to focus on the Main Story Questline, then when you are done with that, focus on doing the Sidequests, Beastribe Quests and completing the remaining Dungeons and Raids. After that, its either farm for the 250+ gear, do PvP, Crafting etc, wharever you like to do.

If this is your first job, focus on doing the Main Story Questline, farming FATES or Palace of the Dead will be pointless, since you need to do the Main Storyline to advance from region to region.
