I had the same encounter as the OP but i wasn't the healer, the rest of the team was blaming and throwing shade at him
Newbies should be left alone for a few matches before they realise what's going on what they should do.

Personally, I think this was a missed opportunity for the community to prove themselves better than the general opinion of them.
I'm not absolving him of the responsibilities of being aware and performing his given role properly.
I'm not demonizing the players who saw fit to just write him off and boot him.
However if there WERE any other players there that could've stepped up and gave helpful advice, they didn't. And that's where they failed. That's where the community failed.
No, it's not your responsibility to teach every new PvPer how to do everything, but then again, who did that for you when you were new? DID someone do that for you? It's easy to point fingers and say "you're doing it wrong!", some will make the correction, most will simply feel attacked. Instead of pointing a finger, extend that whole damn hand and say "here, let me show you how to do it right/better". I guarantee you'll have a returning player that way, and maybe - just maybe - we might actually shake that negative stigma we have simply for enjoying PvP, let alone a better community.
Be the change you want to see.
The next time they whine about dead ques they should think about all those new players they've kicked for being new who will likely never return to PvP again. Don't blame SE, blame yourself.
Why would ppl giving advice to someone who didnt checked anything before entering? Its easy to point fingers and unless we know both sides of this we cant judge. Maybe the healer werent casting heals/following the team/followed chat or doesnt use any pvp skills. However if people dont pvp cause there is a negativity then its not their mode anyways.
Apparently video games these days need to be reasearched and studied before playing. Almost impossible to do spoiler-free gameplay without someone flaming you for not knowing everything beforehand. What happened to the times when you were learning by playing?
Pro tip: video games are not a university. They are supposed to be fun and relaxing side activity after work. Some of you take it way too seriously.
Nobody says you have to study basketball either, but if you want to play basketball with some people you don't go on the court and start kicking it around. When it comes to competitive games (even if just for fun) it is common courtesy to at least have some understanding of what you're doing.Apparently video games these days need to be reasearched and studied before playing. On topic of OP: 900 low hp sounds like you were not meeting the gear cap for PVP, possibly some pieces that are not even i150. If this is the case, and you are a healer, you are a detriment. I say this nice as possible.
If you want that analogy then yes, you do, because the basketball game organizer (SE) says it's ok for veterans and first timers to play together without any restrictions or pre-requisites or requirements other than basic uniform (i150). Sounds like veterans make their own rules with which oranizers are not agree, because unjustified vote kicks (like, for being a new player) are supposed to be punishable.
