    Anyway, my overall point being that whenever we have two tomestones up and running, the lesser of the two would be the currency used in purchasing dungeon gear at significant cost. When one is retired and a new tomestone is introduced, the lesser of those two then would be used, so on, etc. Then we would avoid having to add another tomestone solely for this content idea.

    The issue with that is that if Lore is the tome to buy glamour gear then players will be able to get pretty much end-game level gear if you take into account that dungeon gear vendor tomes will still be given through content like Sastasha. Which wouldn't be right. Plus, doing things like the anima would be made significantly easier which would be a hard nerf on it. Basically anything that can be bought with lore would be much, much easier to get. Without doing end-game content.

    Gear being sold through the dungeon vendor would be for non-endgame progression gear.

    Instead of a currency, you can get a token into the normal inventory to trade them for specific gear. An example to that exist already ingame, the Antique gears in Sastasha (hard), Sunken Temple of Quarn (hard) and Snowcloak.
    People will still do the dungeon with the wanted gear instead of only the one instance with the fastest tome reward, and if you don't need the token then you can just threw it away.

    Forget universal tomes, we need dungeon specific tokens

    But remember how many dungeons there are.. I mean I'd be okay with that but would the Devs be willing to make tokens for each and every dungeon in the game?

    If they wanted to make getting the glamours easier in exchange for actually running the dungeons, they would just make each chest give a pile of guaranteed drops. No wacky new vendor stuff needed.

    Could be a neat thing for them to do on min sync runs only, but obviously they aren't about to do it in the general case.

    It would also be GREAT to see something like this in the leveling dungeons also. Maybe from all level 1-50 dungeons each boss drops a token, there is a merchant outside each dungeon that sells gear that drops from that dungeon that you can purchase for 4-8 tokens (taking at least one full run to get one piece).

    As a newbie that's only run 4-5 dungeons so far and only gotten 2 drops (which were barely upgrades) this would give me much more incentive to rerun dungeons as a tank, which would increase queue times across the board.

    The issue with this game and dungeon gear compared to say... WoW, is that you have 1 dungeon dropping AT LEVEL gear across 3 roles and, later on, like 7 different set for specific jobs. even if it were a 1:1 trade for token:gear, youre looking at 12 runs for every piece of gear.

    now, issue is... after 12 runs, you're already likely to be leveling into the next leveled dungeon. ARR dugeons are every 3 levels, HW are every 2 levels. you WILL be in the next dungeon within 12 runs if you're leveling through them.

    because of this, the actual gear through dungeons for leveling falls off extremely hard.... so the unfortunate thing is the dungeon sets become glamours.

    the few exceptions are gear that have above level stats and the next dungeon are at level stats... a fine example being Brayflox gear going into Qarn.


    as an example, WoW (at least before, i havent played in years), had dungeon sets for roles that were always ABOVE level. an example being something like the deadmines... it was a level 15-20 dungeon that dropped upwards of level 21 gear... contrasting to sastasha/deepcroft/copperbell which are level 15/16/17-20 and drop.... level 15 only gear. by the time you get the gear, you're in halatali which is 20-24.

    To me, thats not a large incentive to complete a set by staying in a dungeon. You've already moved on...
