    International Zodiac Job System was the updated version that was, I believe, only available in Japan. The updated FFXII Zodiac Age that should be coming out later this year is the remastered version of it.

    I'll admit to wondering what you didn't like about the original license board. I also wonder about your opinion of FFTA2 Vaan, who to my understanding is closer to how the FFXII devs would have wanted Vaan to be originally.

    I hope they do make a Windows version of the remake at some point. (I know I could use the old CD on an PS2 emulator and use enhanced visual tweaks, but that's not the same of having a natively running version and it would be missing the new non visual changes)

    Ostensibly, this is actually why I think Viera might be disaapointing if they actually do come out. They'd get the 2x4 treatment with tiny boobs, no hips, and flat butts, and given the statuesque build of the race it would be quite the disservice, IMO. Not interested in playing Viera with a 14 year old's body build, nty.

    Well we won't get a race now but we will drop the ps3 support so maybe when the next race comes out the engine will be stroing enough to give them a proper figure.

    It's so disheartening to see so many people focusing on Viera when Ivalice is mentioned instead of all the stuff about the setting that is much, much more interesting - like the intrigue, character depth and exceptional atmosphere and world building.

    Viera are such a tiny, minor part of the overall scheme of things that I can't help but feel like this is just another bandwagon.

    We don't need a new race anytime soon anyway - not until the current batch of existing races have more options made available to them.

    Ya, in all honesty I'm hoping this raid content will break away from the current cookie cutter we are facing with raids in general. Granted at most we've heard is they plan/have ideas to make challenging content every patch rather than just Savage content but even then it doesn't stop 24-man raids from sadly being wasted space once people do it the first 3-5 times.

    It's a shame because the encounters are fun, but just look at Crystal tower now, it's pretty much auto-pilot with little worries about dying, compared to when it first came out, it was an actual challenge. And while yes content over time may get easier, the range in which said content has actually gotten easier is pretty disheartening when you take a step back.

    The current content which takes the most players to complete in a sense is currently tuned to make it the easiest content in the game because of the fear that players wouldn't be able to complete it. Yet they never consider the idea that this content, you don't exactly need a group of 24 from a single FC to complete the difficulty of it. Smaller groups could join together to tackle the content and partake in the challenge without having to reduce the difficulty because of the fear that everyone wouldn't be able to complete it. Granted I know with this issue that a problem is that the gear/reward doesn't warrant it being that difficult which makes sense, so I do wonder if maybe the new instance coming in 3.5 or 3.55 against Proto-Ultima which is suppose to be a 24-man raid, is going to be a testing of the waters to introduce more of these challenges that involve more people.

    When it comes to Ivalice, I think it would be pretty badass if they decided to release the bosses as single instance Savage like challenge encounters once you completed the raid, to give players something to do, but tuning it to challenge 24 players rather than 8.

    I don't see why it would be bad to encourage raid groups to actually team up together to take down a 24 man raid, if the 8 man groups tackle the Savage content, then why not give them the chance to work towards the same goal of conquering the 24 man raid, to aim for that "server first" win. Though I do understand a potential issue with this would be the tanks, since 8 man savage use a different setup from the 24 man raid tier currently, unless the fights were tuned to actually require all 6 tanks, which honestly would be cool imo. I can understand why they pulled away from it after the first Crystal Tower because attempting to create an "easy" yet "challenging" experience that required all 6 tanks is pretty difficult, especially if it's to the point where 1 tank falling causes a fail, so the idea of making 3 tanks, with the need of all 3 at once isn't as necessary doesn't hurt the fight as a whole.

    With that in mind, for Savage tier 24 man raid, the difficulty could be one in which the use of all 6 tanks is necessary since the level of skill would be there to allow for that type of challenge.

    Overall, when SE did comment on Savage like content with each patch and the reveal of Ivalice, I would love it if they attempted to replicate the Zodiac Brave encounters from Final Fantasy Tactics and turned them into a Savage difficulty for 24 people to tackle and conquer.
