The thing that bugs me with this whole debate is that the concept art SE showed worked. Those Male Miqo'te looked like Miqo'te. Those who are saying they want something more manly like Rei from Breath of Fire or something along those lines have to understand that if the male Miqo'te looked like that they would not even look like they are the same race.

It would be as if they were both different cat races. They still need to look like the same species and having them so drastically different makes it look odd and out of place. As a few have mentioned cats by nature are more feminine them not. Even male cats act like female cats it's part of being a cat and that logic should stay true for Male Miqo'te. It's not like there isn't enough bigger manly type characters in the game already and with 2.0 the options on making those characters will increase.

When I mentioned it to look like Rei for example, I don't mean it to look literally like him. I mean the tone of muscle. Not big build. In the concept I put up, I should have noted to ignore the arms, and pay attention to just the core. I got carried away with it. Anyway, I get what you're trying to get at with the build of the and similarities both male and female should have.

I completely agree that there should be a meeting point between the male and female in looks, where they both relate in certain aspect. I'm not asking for an over the top huge lion. Rather the personification of bad ass(this is just preference), and a toned core, to show his agility. Similar like someone mentioned in the thread, like Liono from the new thunder cats. Not huge but shows he's ready for battle. Putting a note on the way male cats can also be feminine, then let me use thunder cats as an example. You dont see liono being girly, yet he's a male cat. They're just like humes - male and female - they're both neutral. It's not suggestive in any way, however it does represent what a male character is.

That's also keeping in mind, Thunder Cats it's just another fantasy story. So is Final Fantasy, so why say - hey male cats are girly too in REAL LIFE. Again, it's a fantasy. It's completely open to anything, may it be as some have suggested - girly or manly. We can't really rely too much on what is real life, if what we are being handed is a fantasy with either an endless note of possibilities or a strict notion behind what is a male miqote.

I wouldn't mind them being lean, and like I mentioned in an earlier post, the mannerism and animations will determine how we will really look at them in the end. Not just the way they look physically.
