Like I have said multiple times in this thread, Glamour in its current state already was the compromise.

The glamour system we have now already offers hundreds of choices per slot that you can choose from. We don't need to rip out one of the core aspects of the game.

I already tried to offer them that compromise, but they won't accept it. They want all the gear in the game to be their way only and don't care about the people who want to keep just a small percentage of gear locked to the jobs they represent in order to maintain FF series tradition. We just want to keep our tiny one tenth size slice of pie to eat, but it seems most of them are content to grab our tiny piece off our plate to make sure they get to eat the whole pie by themselves.

See, I was agreeing with you, until you started making yourself out as a victimized, abused class. Full honesty, I'm of two minds about this, on one hand I am for keeping the AF gear locked to preserve that iconic look, they are long standing appearances that have been long tied to those names (Even though really only 3 or 4 jobs HAVE their iconic appearance.) but on the other, I enjoy creativity, I enjoy creating and seeing others' creations. The glam system provides a large amount of that freedom of creativity.

So while one side is all for preserving that iconic stuff, another side is for allowing people more options to be creative, ultimately, yes I agree, keep the AF gear locked, preserve the iconic look of the jobs, but let's not try to make ourselves sound like victims. Cause that hurts the argument and it's kinda where you lose me.

Because Miste isn't wrong, there's very little gear that actually holds the iconic look of the jobs, only three, maybe 4 sets in the entire game out of literally hundreds of outfits and designs. That's concerning, to say the least. I'd actually rather they were more strict on glam options.

Why is the term grab or taking anything away even being discussed tho nobody is asking to take a single thing nobody on this thread said we want this and lets not let anyone else have it. I think that would more so be the opposition to the ops post, the basis of what you guys have been saying is that you don't want other jobs wearing gear that doesn't belong to them for lore reasons.

Its not an argument on whether we would get something that you guys would no longer have, and thats whats just been getting me on this whole thread. If you don't want other jobs wearing other jobs gear pieces then fine but don't act like anyone here that disagrees with you is actually trying to take something from you. IF they lifted the restrictions you would still have the same traditional gear pieces that you are all up in arms about the only difference is , would be that mentally for you they would lose their uniqueness even then that is still not taking from one and giving to the other if you still had it at the end of the day in the game.

I think you are misunderstanding me, I agree with her overall message. I agree to keep the AF gear locked. I also noted that yeah, only about 3 or 4 jobs have gear that uphold their overall iconic appearance and YES, that is concerning. But I do not agree with this sense of playing the victim cause honestly, reading this thread again, I see WAAAAY more "THE LORE! PRESERVE THE LORE!" people brow beating, shouting down and outright INSULTING those who want the restrictions lifted. So when you sit there, shouting people down AND try to play the victim, you lose me.

Again, I agree, keep AF gear locked, we need more gear that upholds the job's iconic appearance (Thankfully 4.0 is FINALLY giving us something that just screams BLM.) all for that. I am not for restricting Glam more, cause again, I enjoy creativity. I'm happy with what we have, I've made some good stuff with the glam system we have. So let's just leave it as is. But playing the victim, does nothing but hurt your argument in my eyes.

Really? You don't consider someone else taking your identity as you losing something? Because that's what it sounds like, and that's what people have been asking for. That's the entire point that we've been making, we like our job identities, even me with all 60s love the identity each job has separately! Would I ever want to tarnish that image by glamming my DRK gear on my MCH? No, that's just being disrespectful to both jobs, and the developers.
