I think you need to check the definitions of "confirm" and "hint"

and also think about if its a 3.5 hint or a 4.0 hint.

It does however amuse me when all he has to say is a colour and people immediately look far too much into it. What next, he looks at his watch and suddenly OMG TIME MAGE CONFIRMED everywhere?

I think it's just referring to the next expansion. Heavensward had a blue colour scheme so we say goodbye to it and welcome Stormblood with its red colour palette.
