Still, I rarely see anyone run with a Pld anymore it's usually Drk/War it is definitely doable with Pld/War or Pld/Drk and vice versa I'm just surprised that Pld has taken the back seat in regards to the other tanks via population.
WAR offtank is a must so WAR is the most popular but looking at census there a lot more DRK than everything else. Plus DRK+WAR is the meta due to higher DPS.

From a WHM main's standpoint, PLD is the best. Not the most popular, no but it's the easiest to heal. WARs can keep up if they properly use their buffs because of their sustain. DRK is a pain to heal because their health drops so rapidly compared to the others. I personally have to change my playstyle to accommodate DRKs when there's one in the party.
Umm that makes no sense, an equally geared DRK is hardly any harder than healing a PLD and I do savage raiding with both tanks and the healers tell me theres no difference. The tank stance is the same and the defensive cooldowns are almost mirrored except for a couple. Maybe if you had a geared PLD that sits in tank stance and an undergeared DRK that never uses tank stance that would make sense, but yeah... this is a false assessment from 3.0 that came about from really bad players trying out DRK for the first time.From a WHM main's standpoint, PLD is the best. the main difficulty that comes with playing WAR isnt from the offensive perspective, but from being able to mitigate damage effectively. I couldnt tell you how many times I've seen WARs go from 100% to 10% or even death in content.
Or Wars requiring constant healing in dungeons, when they have amazing self heal capabilities that would allow healers to just dps after giving them a regen.
1 > 2 > 3, > 1 > 2 > 4, > 1 > 2 > 3 > and weave in whatever comes off gcd in between :P.
