Am I the only one who couldn't give a damn about Region Exclusives? I mean exclusives are supposed to be exactly that... Exclusive.

Don't know why peope feel so entitled to something just because they want it and are jealous. The world isn't going to end because you can't get a few glamour items.

That is just how people are when it comes to content for certain people. They expect everything to be obtainable free even if certain things are out of the developers control and would exaggerate how important those contents are even if they are not that important.


Look at Mobius Final Fantasy Global community, for example, as certain people are over exaggerate how Legend Jobs are the only Jobs that can beat endgame stuff like 4 star multiplayer bosses but as the JP ranking has shown a lot of the Normal Free Summon Jobs can handle endgame with some performing better than Legend Jobs and Legend Jobs are not required for endgame. Yes, it is a greedy move by the Chinese/Taiwanese developers sponsering FF Mobius Global version and managing the Global version sales more towards Chinese and Taiwanese players as I am against this type of means but there are already free alternatives for those Legend Jobs already in the game and more free alternatives to arrive later.

Firstly, I would like to direct you to a reply I made to someone earlier in this thread found here

As far as I am aware no one, and at the very least, not myself are asking for these things at out any sense of being entitled to them. Nor do I want them for free when the other player bases had to pay for them. That's lunacy.

What I do want, however, is for there to be equal treatment amongst the various versions of the game. The Chinese and Korean versions get exclusive items all the team. North America and Europe have never ONCE had an exclusive item. Japan had one set of exclusive items, which, after requesting feedback and receiving a popular demand for them, became items that every version of the game recieved. Do these items threaten my ability to play the game? No, not at all, but they are lovely items and I would like to have them because I would, believe it or not, use them.

Not to mention, there are no free alternatives for many of these items in the NA/EU/JP version of the game because MANY of these items are unique to their version of the game. We do not have an alternative for the cloud mount, the angel and demon outfit, nor for the new dance that was introduced. If there were alternatives that were CLOSE to them, I would be happy with that, but there simply aren’t. Hence the request for them.

Also, to point out in your statement, you mention the Chinese and Taiwanese Developers for FF Mobius but, for FFXIV, there is no other development team. From the research various people in this thread and myself have put into the subject, the game is not leased by a Developer but merely by a Provider. This provider allows for the game to hosted through them so it can be accessed by Chinese and Korean internet users. The various companies hosting FFXIV in these countries DO NOT develop these items, as we have seen interviews and even video of the in house Japanese development team working on items FOR the Chinese version of the game. Our best guesses, as we have no confirmation, as for why is this happening is due to some kind of contract with those providers in this countries saying they want SE to provide incentive for their potential costumers to play. A business practice that, while I understand, I wholly disagree with.

I was not refering to you.

I was refering to certain thought process of people we may see involving exclusive content at certain areas as there will always be people who demand something easily access for free even if the means to obtain one such thing for free via event or etc in the game or not is out of control of the player base or main developers. The Developers must make a choice between agreeing with certain terms involving the Host game company for their marketing choice of their version or discontinue their contract and shut down their version of the game.

Though as things go on now it seems the agreement they have involve exclusive content, though no actual serious effect on other servers except for glamour use, for their servers first and if popular enough may bring to others though not as free content.
