Yes, I am telling you that. How would you be able to tell which one is which if they're all in a stack? Also it's a few items instead of 50+ for each kind to save database space. It's not like any one person is going to have the same amount of materia kicking around as they do, say, ammo or crystals. It takes a considerable amount of work to create materia.

We all have 500 slots of inventory space per character You can't tell me with a straight face that you are having space problems.

It doesn't save database space at all, the server still needs to know that there are 3 version of Bloodthrist III or whatever.

They all may have the same name but they all have separate item IDs.
