Does rng scale with gathering on Fsh?

I can't imagine someone to try to fish double or triple mooches without patience and just rely on perception.

ARR fish Titanic Sawfish, Shonisaurus, and Frilled Shark says 'hi'! Before Patience and Patience II the only things fishers were able to rely on were perception and RNG and for example a few players I know, including myself, collected all big fish before 3.0 hit. With Heavensward, hunting down the fish just got a looot whole easier, and less of a timesink.

On topic; All big fish, marked with a star/s what I've noticed eyeballing, have an inbuilt escape rate.
