thinking that making a game needs *our money* doesn't justify why they fucked up in the first place. they can entirely drop funding the project, but since they have *money* it can be funded without subs. i know you feel pity about them but come on, they are not making games from FF titles alone, they also publish other games. if you think that this game gonna live past the release of v2.0 with only our subs. then you are wrong, period.

Beta is over since a year, deal with it. What you make out of the Game right now is your personal opinion and nothing more.

It's been a year and still no search function, no useable LFG system, and no mail.

Search function is in the development. Mail will come in v.2 !

LFG System EXIST in the game SINCE RELEASE. The fact that you obviously dont use it, doest not mean that is it not there. Its not the best system, but it exists.

The game is a wasteland outside of chatting linkshells. Now that tons of people are going to quit, the game is going to become even more desolate. Why am I going to -pay- to play a game that's not even really ready?

Why would a lot of people quit? Cause SE is going to charge? I call that Bullshit. The Majority of the Players doesnt even bother with the Forums, so you have no idea how many ppl will stay and how many people will leave. I am sure that people will leave, but as some other Vote-Threads shows, even the Majority of the Forum will stay and pay.

I always thought to myself that they would only change when this theoretical 2.0 was released (and on PS3 too)... but to charge us for it one year ahead of time? I understand there are bills to pay, but SE really made a horrible game and deserve to pay the price. I still feel insulted that they even released the game in the first place.

Its not a horrible Game. Its a Game which doesnt fit your personal thoughts. If so, go and find something else to play. I am not a fanboy, but i love this Game since i see it as a whole. I look at the improvements they are doing with every Patch, what kind of Content they are adding with every Patch and how they are beeing faster and faster with every Patch while the Size of the Patch is growing every Time.

I only log in to play around, check to see what's changed, and log out, and I'm sure at least 50% of the players are exactly like me (if not more).

You are totally wrong with that Statement.. if you dont leave the town, you dont even have a little Idea of what SE changed in the Patch. Ever fought Ifrit? Ever beat the Dungeons? Ever finished all Quests? ( FFXIV have ~120 right now, FFXI had after 1 year around ~50 ). Beat all NM's? Got all NM-Weapons and all NM-Gear, all Dungeon Gear? checked out the different new Camps for exp-groups? tried to Solo lower tier NM's? improved your own skill and social skill along with your LS? Tried out different tactics in Dungeons? Did Choco-escort? Did Imperial-defense? and so on, and so on, and so on.

Your highest Characterclass is Rank13, so you are not even able to attend in the most fun Stuff, how do you know you have any right to talk about Content you didnt even do? Dont get me wrong, but you have seriously no idea what you are talking about. I cant pull out a Thread like this if i didnt even manage to participate in 90% of it.

Don't get me wrong, I had a huge smile on my face as I read through the announcement and saw the PDFs about 2.0... but I'm not paying for 1.9, or 1.20.

Unfortunately, they are probably making the wrong decision on behalf of the players. I already feel insulted -again-. For the entire 2012 I'm going to be pissed at them for not allowing the people who payed 50+ dollars for this garbage continue to see the updates that THEY OWE US first hand. Thats your own fault if you dont do more than that. And the Server-Client lag isnt bad at all. Cant blame the Server for your own crappy computer. The only times when i have laggy UI is, when i have 10+ other Programs running and along with that, watching a Movie, Browser with 20 Tabs and so on.

Than stay in town, or actually stay offline when they start charging. And as soon as 2.0 is out come back to this Forum and complain about it and how you dont understand anything of it, and blame SE again for your own lazyness and faults.

Bottom line still stands. You guys are just 'fanboy' enough to pay SE to test their content for them. They are counting on you to make sure their relaunch goes better than their first launch. This MMORPG now depends on this relaunch more than anything. It doesn't matter how much money they make each month in this coming year... if the relaunch does not deliver (and in a timely manner) FFXIV is going to flat out flop. Why are you paying them? They messed up. You should not have to pay for that. Charge us when the relaunch happens SE. Do not charge us to help pave the way for your relaunch.

Whether the game is worth paying for or not is irrelevant..that's an opinion not a fact. What is a fact is that Yoshi-P did tell us that we could expect subscriptions to start back up once the game had a plan and they could begin moving forward. Never once did he, or anyone at SE, say subscriptions would start back up once the game was fixed. In fact, I believe Yoshi-P saw this crap storm coming from a long way away and tried to warn us.

What most people, including myself, are bothered with is how exactly this is all taking place. But the problems don't lie with the here and now, they lie in the past where the game was marketed as retail worthy and it wasn't. That however is in the past...nothing anyone can do about it now.

All that can be done by SE is to continue business as usual..and for the players its time to make a mature decision as to whether they will continue to play this game or not to play this game. This really isn't that difficult lol
