December I wouldn't even bother trying to talk sense in the loyalist around here it will fall on deaf ears. Noone outside of rabid fanboys think it's a good idea to charge for this sooo long before 2.0 regardless of what an lol800 person forum poll which is biased due to where it is posted.
You guys can think yayyyy the majority here say they will be staying and paying but it shows like 500 something people. If having the place more of a ghost town than this game already is for another year is your thing which sadly some of your attitudes show it is, more power to you.
The upcoming changes next year look like they can be the answer we are all looking for but anything but the blindest fanbois would justify paying a full price monthly fee for this trash even the devs say is trash. Just because something is split in two doesn't mean it's split equally. I'm not saying a majority of the people are going to be subscribers, but I'm also not going to assume more than half would just walk off on the game.

I've seen more support on the forums for the subscriptions than I have for not paying. Of course we can't factor in those who don't use the forums because we simply don't know what their stance is.

People are saying "When half your population leaves..." and such aren't making a good argument because there is no evidence to support this. There is just as likely a chance that more than half the population chooses to stay as paying subscribers.

the statistics weren't my point. i know it can swing either way and THAT was my point. i'm fearful that more then just the trolls will leave and that could be problematic. All we can do is wait till it happens to see, but outside influences dont help any. You'd be a fool to think that at least some would not want to pay for an unfinished game during a collapsed world economic period. I personally think its a bad time to start charging on many levels, but like i said ill probably sub myself cause i am enjoying the game personally. Its the others I'm worried about. And New players won't be picking up this game till its done i feel, and this is an even bigger problem for this next year.

I don't think anyone would have a problem paying monthly for this if the quality was there. Based on the time-line it doesn't even look like a bulk of the server issues will be fixed until they transfer the data onto the new client/server which means that alone isn't worth a monthly fee in my opinion.

Some people like the game in its current state, I can't fault people, maybe they met some cool people who enjoy the game but my personal opinion is not worth the sub yet. If you told me 2.0 was 2-3 months out obviously I would be more inclined to stick around and shell out some cash. My personal opinion is I rather wait especially with all these cool games like Diablo 3 coming early 2012, I rather spend the money else-where for the time being until the game is worth it(to me).

Just because there is a lot of content doesn't mean the game is finished. There is a reasonable amount of stuff to do in the game, but the way the game PLAYS on a fundamental level, the amount of errors in the game, how poorly it is optimized, the "rough" UI, the action delay, the animation lag, all of that stuff is indicative of problems of games in the BETA stages, not launch status.

Being more than a beta doesn't mean that =)
