Rogue is a class, started at 1. Ninja is a job, started at 30.
Advanced jobs like regular jobs start at 30 as well.
I'd personally prefer if DRK, AST & MCH had classes, but the current set up makes a sort of sense. Starting at 50 is just arbitrary.
Well, that's rude.
What would be nice is if they gave us a choice of what level we want to start the jobs at once they become unlocked...That way those of us who want to start at level 1 can do so...Those who want 30 can do that and those who want 50 can ..This way everyone is happy. As a 'modern mmo' choices should be abundant for so many differing play styles and point of views.
Nah. Different people like different things.
I'd have expected new jobs to keep starting at 30, but I can understand where they're coming from here. 30-50 is a fairly unpleasant grind through really old content. And then 50-60 is a HUGE grind (same amount of exp as 1-50 remember). Bypassing one of those is actually fine with me, and I AM one of those people that enjoys leveling.
Personally I'm really looking forward to trying out RDM and I'd do it from 30 if I had to, but I'm fine with this too.
What I am kinda wondering though is whether or not I need to start farming poetics for level 50 int gear or if RDM will come with some kind of starter set. DRK, AST, and MCH didn't but those started much lower...
I'm pretty sure people will level quickly in PotD, I mean... Seriously you guys we don't have to deal with fates anymore XD
It does make sense. Its because they can't keep making job story quests for every job starting at 30. It will get even worst after a couple more expansions. MCH/DRK/AST starting at level 30 was probably in part decided because that means they didn't have to make a story quests for the 1-30 levels.
