Anyway kind of partly gave up on it by now, and hope that the EU SE team makes a second round for those who miss(ed) out now that would be great (and I think they can figure out something that works, right?).

Maybe we just need to raise our voices and see if they listen if there is enough animo.

Indeed, our bigger hope is for them to do an easy accessible way to get those from a luckier nation or mogstation

Correct. Unless the items in question are added to the Mog Station - which is pretty much the best compromise all around at this point given that even many of the players in European countries that did have a promotion missed out due to how awkward and contrived they were compared to the Japanese and North American promotions.
