    How come 8-man doesn't get famous writers and designers? Now I know the 8-man story and raid is going to be terrible again.

    Most likely because they want as many people to experience it as possible and the Alliance raids are a lot more casual friendly.

    They also kind of have a theme going with the 24-mans being mostly FF throwbacks.

    8-man has story mode so the casual friendly doesn't really make sense... Omega is from a past FF so might as well call that a throwback as well.

    Binding Coil didn't have any particularly famous writers and designers and its was widely praised by fans.

    It got revealed in some of the Live Letters. The story of binding coil was written by the person, who did write the heavensward main scenario and job quest storys like dark knight. The story of alexander was written by someone else.

    Pretty sure the 8 man raid has crossover ties to the MSQ, so it will have the MSQ team having a hand in it, don't worry about its quality
