Yeah, that is a part of the Lore for the Cavalry Elbst you get from the Beast Tribe.

Clearly, CLEARLY, what needs to be done is that an un-modified Elbst Mount needs to be implemented.

Logic doesn't apply very well to Final Fantasy sometimes. Sanuwa, Fenrir, Adamantoise don't look flight-capable, but they are.

Director said it clearly, only flying mounts can swim, I wouldn't be surprised to find out the Loch Ness creature can fly too!...

I do hope though they value logic this time around, except for the infinite diving ability, so that they will make clearly apparent sea/water mounts able to be used underwater!...
