I'm not quite ready to write everything off and quit but the game is in a very precarious position right now and they need to hit a homerun with Stormblood - if it's a reskin of ARR/HW there are going to be many fewer who stick around for the same patterns.
They desperately need some more endgame diversity and less <3 month planned obsolescence.
Personally I understand that they have to do something to help new players get into the expansion without the many hours it would take to play through basically 2 full campaigns - the game just isn't set up like XI where you could have multiple starting points for chunks of MSQ. The pro is that we get a long engaging story, the con is that being behind is a huge hurdle.
Personally if the options are: SE spends a good chunk of money to rebuild/streamline 2.xx (the biggest offender here probably - HW is much more streamlined already) or allows jump potions - then as an end game player you really benefit more from them doing jump potions because then they don't take away development time/money for something you've already experienced and are unlikely to benefit from in anyway.

Jump potion is one of many ways but it's a very good money grabbing way. Square enix is greedy as hell, nothing more. OP is probably right. In the end Mogstation was supposed to include optional glamour only and now it gets Jump Potions? That's definitely not the end.
You have a point, but then again, people kept demanding to enable skipping, so here we are
is that the natural selection ppl where talking about with jump potion ?![]()

Who cares about jump potions? The story has SO much filler that would turn off new players who have to play the ENTIRE story that we have had broken up. Its redundant. Port to X talk to 1 NPC to port right back to Z where you just were. Over and over and over. As for players who don't understand how to play their class/job? There's people who have played since 2.0 and don't play optimal. If you have friends and people to run content with, I don't see how any of this effects you. I rather SE have money to maintain a beautiful game that has content released regularly. Go play a F2P and you'll see what I mean.

look there still hope to argue Yoshi P. out of it. it not set in stone mind you
