Wasn't Yugiri watching the Garleans and forwarding intelligence to the Scions and the GCs for the duration of HW? If my memory serves, that's why she was never around after we rescued Raubahn.

I believe that was the in story reason to essentially shuffle Yugiri off the stage for a while, but I would have to go back and comb through dialogue to double check. But you may be right.

Please you are giving me flashbacks to Power Rangers Ninja Storm where a character's mother turned out to be a Samurai among a bunch of Ninjas and passed that down to her son.

I think she was put their before her English voice actress' untimely death. Players only really started noting her lack of appearance after the events. Yugiri just has not been needed for the Ishgard storyline.
