Isn't it already confirmed that the expansion will be 2 jobs instead of 3 since the time it takes to do 3 and balance them would take much longer than the 2 years between heavensward and stormblood? Thought we already got confirmation on this.

Apparently Yoshi or someone has said they are gonna do 3 jobs now since Stormblood is ahead of schedule, yet whenever I ask someone to provide a citation to this claim they suddenly go quiet. So maybe there are gonna be 3 jobs now, maybe it is still only 2. I really wish we could get some clarification on this, which we may get this Friday since, ya know, Tokyo Fan Fest.
The official stance was that they would never do another job like they did with Ninja, in the middle of a patch + Heavensward development with the three new jobs. It was too much too soon.
YoshiP did say that the new jobs had something to do with Moonfire Faire. Most people assume that to mean 3 rangers = 3 jobs but who knows.
Agreeing with Stormfur, the only confirmation I saw was them not doing another mid expansion job. So 3 is still possible per expansion release but I've yet to see any clear info on never doing 3 again.Apparently Yoshi or someone has said they are gonna do 3 jobs now since Stormblood is ahead of schedule, yet whenever I ask someone to provide a citation to this claim they suddenly go quiet. I wouldn't put stock in it, especially given that Yoshida has said explicitly that he's not going anywhere for a few expansions (and that the Producer role is the one of the two he's got that he'd give up, if he didn't feel he was the best person to lead the game).
Some interesting ideas, but I also don't think SMR is going to be a tank.

I'm not talking about the "never doing 3 again." Thing, last I checked Yoshi said during the Vegas keynote when talking about the new jobs, that they were doing 2 this time around. Though I may have to go back and check that again.
EDIT! I was wrong, just went back and rewatched the Keynote from Vegas, Yoshi merely says "We have multiple jobs coming but details on that are for a later date." So the number of jobs we are getting is up in the air!

If I remember correctly, Yoshida said something about "multiple jobs" which lead me to believe we could get 3 combat and some crafter or gatherer jobs. I'd have to go look back at the footage to confirm (which I'll prob end up doing to calm my own anxiety)Apparently Yoshi or someone has said they are gonna do 3 jobs now since Stormblood is ahead of schedule, yet whenever I ask someone to provide a citation to this claim they suddenly go quiet. Was it not stated that the budget for StormBlood was something like 3 times that of Heavensward? I'd think that kind of boost to budget would enable that kind of boost to content. Wouldn't you agree?
Just watched it again, yes he says multiple jobs but also says details for that is at a later date. So we may find out how many jobs we're getting on Friday.
