    While I believe the answer to this is the first option (abilities gained through leveling up and quests) I want to vote for them doing something similar to what XI did... XI didn't have a rigid system which allowed for jobs to be truly unique in the way they functioned.

    Yes and they'll have to learn most of their abilities from monsters, like a traditional Blue Mage went up 2 spaces, while Yes with a special system that lets them "equip" a limited amount of abilities like in XI went down 2 spaces!

    2. No, it's to complicated for XIV at 116 votes (25%)
    3. Yes and they'll have to learn most of their abilities from monsters, like a traditional Blue Mage at 49 votes (11%)
    4. Yes but it will be implemented in a way never seen in a the FF series before at 37 votes (8%)
    5. Yes with a special system that lets you "equip" a limited amount of abilities like XI at 29 votes (6%)

    Merchant could only work if it requires a wholly separate resource system similar to Warrior stacks.

    As for my vote, I put mine on Morpher just because I'm a sucker for transformation-themed jobs.
