I'm fully convinced of this. The only other time I saw a Lalafell marked child is when I was handing out Cookies at The Coffer & Coffin. >_>

Considering that Eorzea is a pre-industrial society, I'd be surprised if child labor wasn't a thing.

lore-wise lalafell don't age. Adult lalafell looks exactly like children falafel

Ok for anyone confused about lala reproduction, allow me to explain the buds and the bees.

When a mama lala and a daddy lala live each other very much, the engage in the tender act of ah-ooga. 8 weeks later the mother will birth a tiny seed. The parent the plant this seed, in an area called a potato patch.

During this period the parents will care for the plant on the surface as their child is formed under the soil, and provided nutrients by the plant. 21 weeks after that a lala child fully grown will emerge from the soil. The parents will take the child home to finish it's emotional and educational maturing even though they are physically mature.

Some lala parents are even know to keep the surface plant as some kind of momento or even cook it (ew gross).
