Honestly, now that I've gotten a taste of level 50 Black Mage through PotD, this could be a nice boost to actually play it. Pre-Fire III Black Mage is...urgh...

So, in short, 'the potions are coming guys' ? I guess then we will see more threads when these 'potion 60's' get to the endgame, finish all the game has to offer at that point and then just turn their thumbs and look around wondering what to do next because they literally 'drank' all the rest of the content. I think raising the exp, pruning some of the very very pointless fetch quests that make some quest lines way longer than they should be; could've been also a good way to help new players and returning players catch up.
I'm---sorry I'm just not seeing much of a point in paying to play a game and then paying again to skip 80-90% of it and then get bored when you realized the 20-10% left won't give you much to do till the next patch(es); but that's just my 2 gil. Gotta agree, at least it's sorta good for alts but I guess for them I rather see more alt friendly things, like, being able to add them to FL so you can mail them stuff (and yes I know RMT but RMT just makes FCs o)-< )

A level jump potion is inevitable but i don't think it's needed yet, If it's added i only wish you make it mandatory that players complete a series of tasks so they understand basic rotations and how their job is played correctly.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but if the main reason for the jump potions are to allow catchup... then why allow people buy multiple job potions? (at least it sounds like that's the plan?).
You only need *one* job at 60 to catchup... everyone else currently at 60 who wanted to level something else would start back at level 1 (or 30 for HW jobs). It also makes a bit of a mockery of achievements like Grandmaster of War/Grandmaster of Magic if someone with money to spare can just buy all their level 60s vs someone that actually spent the time and effort to level up?
For the people that didn't read the message in full, he stated they observed what players buy the skips and how they fare, the majority of them aren't actually entirely new players. They're players lvling alts, having gotten to 30 with the free trial or know veteran players and are helped by those friends.
It seems that people wouldn't invest in the game without having experienced it enough to be certain, so it'd make sense that it'd be rare for people to not even try lvling the normal way for a while with the free trial before buying.
As long as the money earned is put back into the game's development I don't mind, though that may be wishful thinking knowing how businesses are like.
Tip: System > Character Config > Item Settings > Inventory/Retainer Interface > Expanded (now check ur inventory)

Seems perfectly serviceable and inoffensive. There are still 10 levels they have to learn, they still need to run older content to get past base level equipment and people can still play with friends who just start. Post even comments that players who use these tend to stay, which is nice all around. Several real life friends have quit pre-Garuda due to it being a giant pain in the ass.
I hope you like Healers refusing to use offensive abilities "b-because I'm a healer not a DPS!!", because you're only gonna have even more of those now.For the people that didn't read the message in full, he stated they observed what players buy the skips and how they fare, the majority of them aren't actually entirely new players. Hmmm, so pretty much w/ the NA/EU community, this is our problem, not the team. If the Chinese/Korean community can make it work, it wouldn't make any sense for the NA/EU community to complain on why it won't especially if they realized that ppl can be quick to adapt.
And I also think it's those who have multiple accounts that known the game for long that are buying the potions to get pass the things that they don't need to do. It's pointless to do so, so yeah it does make sense to buy the potions.
I think all we need is a potion that skips everything from the point you beat Ultima to getting into Ishgard. I don't know what patch numbers that stuff is. But that stuff, in my OPINION, is the most tedious in the game.
