Interesting. I did a tracert and it doesn't seem to be a Level 3 issue at least for me?

Well now all I'm getting is a Lobby error when I hit start. Least before I was able to get to the character selection menu. Did they fix it or make it worse?

Needless to say, I've never seen so many asterisks before! And it usually doesn't take me 18 hops to reach Cactuar--I can get there in 12-13 usually. And I've never seen any latency as high as 503 ms. Highest I see is usually 150-200ms around Level3's servers.

It is worth noting, I think, that others have mentioned that there is a lot of snow up in Montreal, which could be leading to these issues. I believe that at least one of the IPs in your traceroute (xe-8-3-0.mtl10.ip4.gtt.net [141.136.105.74]) is also located in Montreal. Actually that IP is coming up as being in France! The eff. Hmm.

So this could be weather-related, and not Level3 just being Level3. I will do another traceroute myself to see what it looks like now (still can't connect, however....2002's everywhere).
