Only with an active FFXIV account you can post on these forums, so when billing starts all the cry babies who cant afford 2 cents a day won't be allowed to post.
That's definitely good to know.

What principles? That u dont want to pay for an Onlinegame? Youre wrong at this genre then.
At Release the game wasnt worth the monthly fee, but now we have enough funny content to keep ppl busy.
In my past I have paid for over one dozen mmorpgs. I have been a constant subscriber to one of these mmorpgs for the last seven years [that's over $1200 in subscription fees], and at times I have paid for up to three MMORPG subscriptions at the same time, and will take my first month off from the first mentioned mmorpg in the coming month due to medical reasons of which I will be unable to play.
I do not pay for games that are in alpha state. FFXIV is in an alpha state; there aren't even linkshell administration commands. An alpha state is a state where core system information is being completely reworked, and we're constantly seeing core systems being reworked in FFXIV; this isn't something that is "standard MMORPG development" this is fixing a program, and its containing systems, that were incompetently managed and released with an ethically callous regard to their potential customers.
The "beta" period for before Yoshi P is ready for his release of the game isn't even being referred to as a beta period for PC, it's being referred to as a "reboot phase", but a PS3 closed beta. They're both betas, and it's simply a "Reboot" phase because of the pure irony of charging subscribers to play in an outdated, below average, and obtuse game that has seen the majority of its development using previously developed assets as they worked on version 2.0 - the game that players expected and paid for [this is with disregard for system writing which has been completely original by the dev team] .
I am not trying to troll you or the developers, but I will not accept your suggestion that I am simply not wanting to pay for an online game.

I find it amusing that some people will pour $20, $50, $100 or more a month into games that are F2P and Farmville...
Yet SE asks us to pay like $13 a month after getting a YEAR FREE (admitting their fault, and reworking the WHOLE bloody game) so they can continue to develop the game and make it awesome and all I hear are people QQing.
I for one was ready to play last October, and I will pay in a month or two as well.
+1 OP

I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
I am having a great time online, so in my eyes, this game is worth 12.99 or 18.99 cause I want to keep my 2 alts as well
Those who claim the game isnt worth paying for or is still Beta, please just go to another mmo thats worth your time and money while SE will turn XIV into something great. I wanna experience the entire journey towards XIV2.0 and beyond![]()
