Incorrect, they are anything but related to dragons, as the lore which you think to quote has specifically detailed.

Technically, the lore surroundings Au'Ra says that they may or may not be, it doesn't say that they aren't or that there aren't certain tribes that are, which means it's up to the interpretation of the player regarding their character, as far as I can tell.

Add a Mi'qote subrace that has bunny ears instead of cat ears. Sprinkle them liberally throughout Eorzea. Pretend it was that way all along. In fact, do it for everyone, as part of the 'more customization' drive.

To the people who think we would actually get a new looking type of race, HaHAHa. This game always complains about staffing issues. They aren't going to add another set of gear design to the workload.

Sliders should work to some degree and should already be in the game for some aspect. If gear is itemized for Roe already no reason that any other race could not have sliders to create that size. More unique aspects IE "give me my butt thread", probably again is a design team issue.

Also since they have designs done from HWs. Viera could be added down the road two or three expansions. Can't you just see it, subs down, cash shop sink hole not the golden cow it used to be and "Come back to Eorzea, Viera the most asked for and discussed race."
