How About An "Incognito" Player Status?

Why else would you bring newbies into the topic when it's only about hiding people from player search?

Like, what else would a newbie even do with it? You're the one who brought it up, so please explain.

But since you wanna play that game: Where did I say the status would be needed to keep people from following you? I only named it as ONE of many differences, the rest of which you conveniently failed to read or to acknowledge.

I brought up newbies cause of the /tell systems which was a reply to the "rmt" arguement from OP. Never said you said it was needed but OP does since he has no other reason for such a status.

RMT wasn't the only reason clearly. I said that in my post. Yes, people do use player search to try and invite people to FCs and it's seriously annoying. I don't want to block all communication, I just don't want to be found.

And yes, there are people who try to follow me around or contact me through tells randomly. I don't want any creepy guys showing up in my FC house or Private home. Blacklist does nothing. /Busy does nothing. Because they can still find me.

It's not about being anti-social. No social aspects are blocked other than being searched. It's like if in RL everyone in your city could go to a phone app and search your name, current location, and phone number. And you just want an app to NOT allow random people to find you.

Random tells? Ignore it or blacklist. Someone follow you ( I doubt that this is that often)? Go report people wont do it again since they get banned for that. Its a game seriously they only see the area you in not like they know exactly where you are lmao. Even if you can block player search people still can look up the fc house on lodestone etc.. Then again I doubt that so many ppl follow you like crazy so just report okay? You switch between reasons be clear whats your problem if its because ppl talk to you or follow you I gave you the best solution above. Also I know that this is not just only about RMT it was a reply to the other person not you if you realise that.

What's your problem? It's an option. You don't have to have it. You don't have to use it. You can doubt all you want because you don't know me. I shouldn't have to just ignore. I shouldn't even have to blacklist or report. Why go through all that trouble when I can simply prevent them from doing it in the first place.

What's your stance on FC invites? Can't annoy people if they can't get them on search.

Well if 2 clicks are "all that trouble" it cant be that bad right? Im telling you there are 3 ways against this and you cant come up with a reason which justify a new status. With the solutions above you can easily avoid this. A usual /tell from a random will stop if u ignore it if not?blacklist. Someone stalk you so hard ingame/lodestone report them they wont do it again unless they want perma ban. Now you bring FC invites to this discussion this just proves my point in being right since you cant even answer/give a valid reason because there are already ways to prevent this. Its kinda funny how you say I doubt you the thing is what should I even doubt xD.

Sure you can blacklist. But did blacklist ever fix anything? Does reporting ever fix anything nowadays? By the way, reporting is far from 2 buttons. That kind of report is only through a chat. You cant inspect -> report for stalking.

Ignore it?: Shouldn't have to.
Blacklist?: Shouldn't have to. Easily prevented if they can't get to you in the first place.
Report?: Too much hassle. Send ticket. Wait for response. And wait for action. And pray for results.
/Busy?: Shouldn't have to cut off all communication.

I dont know why you say blacklist and reporting doesnt fix anything lol. 2 clicks were meant for blacklisting but reporting takes like 2 min max and you wont have that person stalk u ever again. Since you like irl examples... Someone is talking to you what you think? I shouldnt have to ignore that person? xD He shouldnt be able to talk to me in the first place? xD
