Honestly, why do one when you can have both? There's seeker of the sun Mi'qote's and seeker of the moon ones aren't there? Just have one of the races have really buff man cats like the BoF characters like Rei and Cray, and have the more slender effeminate types for the other. Problem solved, and it would make more sense anyways for different clans to look different as well, setting them apart from each other so you can tell.

Though along those lines for other races, I hope they include a Roegadyn clan that has tails and looks like the galka of FFXI.

Oh, and they don't have tails, either, which would continue FFXIV's perfect record of no males with tails

They will have the sun and moon versions too right? The sun versions could be more built and the moon versions more slim and "bishi" lol

Edit: Maybe Seekers could be like lions and tigers and Keepers could be like panthers and other slim/agile cats?

This is my first MMO and just thought this race was for fan service anyway. I imagine (as somebody who has been to Japan) this race would be absolutely huge over there, but not for being male either. The dragon class sounds interesting though.

We also need to recall that in Hydaelyn, the male miquo'te is not traditionally the bread winner. 'Tis the women who go out and about, lead the pack, form the family, build the empire (much like the opposite is the case for the Roegadyn). Of course, much of this segregation is broken down in Eorzea, probably due to progression - Merlwyb becoming Admiral may have even had an impact.

But if the cat-boys have been the supporting gender for so long, it would make no sense for them to be more powerfully built than the female, else history would have probably run a different course.

Lithe and slender makes purfect sense for the male Miquo'te.

Honestly, I'm fine with the designs as they are. I mean if you want the super manly buff dudes we have Roegadyn and Highland Hyur. Midland Hyur's kind of middle of the road there. And then you've got male Miqo'te which seems a little more effeminate.

There's diversity there and people can kind of choose what fits their style more. That being said, as I do like the designs, I'm probably switching over to Male Miqo'te once it's available.

I think they need to make them quite muscular looking (somewhere between Lowlander and Highlander) less like cats and more Lionish.

Im pretty sure SE will make them the pretty slender boys of the game though /puke.

Well to be fair it's one of the few styles that aren't represented. As I stated above, if you want the muscular big dudes you've got Roegadyn and Highland Hyur. I mean IMO Highland Hyur is already kind of the middle between the biggest (Roegadyn) and the average (Midland Hyur). Not all guys have to be quite muscular

This design gives those who want the "lithe and slender", as someone stated above, characters their option. Those who want muscular guys already have their options. It at least adds some diversity into the character types that are out there.

Well I consider Roegadyn to look more fat than muscular and the majority of Highlanders look like they got smashed in the face by a bus.

Perhaps SE will give us more option in our character customisation so that we can change the muscularity and breast size where females are concerned.

This way some miqote will be slender and some more muscular, same could go for highlander and midlander as well.
