I LB someone at 60-70%, but if he get gets healed before LB cast finishes he'll survive and LB will be wasted, which happens a lot after melee LB nerf. Yesterday someone marked a monk with Fists of Earth AND defence buff. We couldn't kill him for more than 2 minutes, we could use our bursts on someone who'd almost certainly die, so that was a poor marking in my opinion and I switched target. Doesn't help that I died 4 times right near healer, despite vitality accessory and shade shift, recouperate and second wind. It may be my fault we lost, but not only my fault.

Try make a macro. I am going to LB target (1). Please burst for assist. It takes way more pressure off you too. Then you've done your part. And just by the way, I had you in a game earlier today in frontlines where you were WHM. Despite the criticism you usually receive, I personally thought you did well. Hope to see more of that in the future bud.

Hardest part of climbing imo is when you reach the 850 to 1000 point total. In this region you still have very low points compared to Gold/Platinum but extremely high points compared to unranked. As such almost all your matches when you reach this point will have you paired up with numerous unranked and most of the time unskilled players rather than Gold and Platinum players simply because there are just so much more unranked/bronze players the algorithm can match you with as opposed to Gold and Platinum. I had very very little trouble getting to 850 points but had to endure 2 days before I could finally break out of silver and get to gold because of the unfavorable match ups. Coincidental or not the 3 qualifiers I won to advance to gold were all lobbies that had silver/gold/platinum players only.

I actually thought I will get in Top 100 last season. This is my rating in last day of Season 2 when I've stopped queing:



And #100 in Chaos final chart (after deceiving 'black' week) got 915 points, so I needed just one more win.

But this season is funny, I took a liberty to play some other roles like melee which I usually don't play, and that killed my win rate and dropped me from Gold to Silver. But ranking up is so fast now, that if I'll stick to just one easy to play role like warrior I should get to Platinum without problems. That will be not enough for Top 100 though as final chart will be full of Diamonds.

Platinum now this season is what Gold used to be in season's past so I agree it doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to but Diamond iirc was not touched in terms of points lost per loss from previous seasons (I think only the threshold for becoming Diamond was lowered?). As a result I highly doubt the final 100 will be all Diamonds. Would be impressive for the data centers that do it though.

I dislike the change they may haven't touched diamond but that doesn't matter since most ppl quit after getting diamond.

Nah, people with around 40% winrates almost have diamond, you just have to keep playing and go on a streak at some point. If you just take +/- points into account platinum is S2 gold but inflated and easier because of MM. Once you get platinum, if you keep a 50% winrate, you just have to play 100 matches to get into diamond qualifiers. For every loss under 50% you just have to play 5 more matches technically. I think they really screwed up with this matchmaking. In S2, you didn't see tanks at high ratings because they had to carry, now you will see a lot of sub-optimal tanks get diamond because matches are generally more balanced so going 50% is a ton easier than in S2. Same goes for the other classes, but tanks are the best example because anyone playing S2 knew how bad getting a high ranked tank on their team was.

IMO matchmaking should be like S1 in terms of pairing, S2 in terms of point loss, and they should change the tiers (lose -5 while unranked, 200 bronze, silver 600, gold 1000, plat 1400, diamond 1700).

Hi, I'm a Bad Achiever DRK, ppl usually hate me because I can only play DRK, and I want the mount.
Trying to get in a stable 90-100th position, 40% win rate last week, and 70% this week in 17 matches.
