To me, the real reason they bar scholars from it is because it's the most lazy way out. Emerald Carbuncle already exists and has the exact same abilities as Garuda-Egi, so there's no additional work here, abilities all have fitting animations already. Same for Topaz and Titan. Ruby Carbuncle is already in the game as well and I doubt it will have any "new" animations but rather take from Topaz Carbuncle animations. Pretty sure that you can't make Garuda a Topaz or Ruby Carbuncle either, because that would be additional work.

I'm confident. Sch will have this option too. But it takes a lot of ressources to the staff so i believe they're more focused on one job now. But Sch are arcanist too, maybe even more than smn ( the preventive, strategic gameplay is actually closer from sch than smn.)

Also the " crabuncles are offensive, fairies aren't blabla "
Hellooooow ? Selene can actually silence ( and i believe she will hit at some point) which is OFFENSIVE. So this argument is totally false.

Ear me out, I'm all for SCH glam considering I SCH myself but while Egis are creations of the SMN, Eos and Selene are 2 aspects of the same fairy, Lily who we can see in our LB3.

Plus, Egi glam is a way for SE to creat artificial variety for the SMN considering we won't get more Egi cause balance (and a pet class with just 3 pets....meh....). It's there way to make up for giving fale hopes to SMN (making us believe we are a pet class when, in fact, we are just a class woth 3 or 4 more spells than the others ^^").

I would be happy if they give us more glam for fairies but I doubt they will, or not before a looonnng time :/

EDIT : Plus, iirc (but might be wrong), we do not summon Lily the way we do with Carby. She is bound to our cristal and a "real" creature while Carbys are created from ether by ARC, hence why Alphinaud can creat his own one like the gilr with the pretty diamond Carby in Idleshire (I want this one so bad !!!! *.*).
I even think if we give our cristal to someone else, they might be able to summon her technically (she might not show) while we might not be able to do it anymore (correct me if i'm wrong, did my SCH quest a loooonnng time ago)
