Im totally okay with all dungeons being instances, instances like the wards, aka open instances. Same as open world, just that it takes less capacity from the server to do. Time limit and parties only though, no thanks. Time limits in itself is a bad idea. And doing stuff in dungeons is always funnier if you can meet people, help them or get help etc. also, dungoens should be a part of gathering.
Really? I thought you played games on your computer? :P
(sorry, had to comment on it ^^)
I hate the idea of lots of instances where it's just you and your party. Instances full of lots of people I could meet, I may not mind so much. Still... open world content would be amazing. I always have this picture in my mind of a huge wide-open, seamless field where 2 huge armies are attacking each other.. New people being allowed to just wander over and join at any time. No time limits, no restrictions on how many people. Just plain action happening in the open world.
I'll probably never see anything like this though.
And as I've said in another thread.. Cross-server.. I hate it. I wouldn't speak to anyone. Would be afraid I'd like someone and wanna be friends, then never see them again. What's the point?

Wrong Kiote, YOU don't want more instanced dungeons. Stop speaking on behalf of the community.
Personally, I really don't give half a damn if they're instanced or not. At least with instanced dungeons it's far easier to balance as you've got a set cap, unlike open dungeons with the new claiming system. Instanced or not though, I'm going to complete the content. I don't understand why people give a damn about it. The quality of the content should be the issue, not if it's instanced or not.

How is this different from non-instanced dungeons? Take Shposhae for example, there's 3 NMs in there, a quest that simply takes you there and a handful of decent gear for those levels from the coffers. Run through it a few times and you're done THERE'S NOTHING ELSE!
Arcell I believe its more on the lines of "everything being instanced loses the server community feel" effect more than whether or not the dungeons are merely open or instanced. From my experience with SE they were always good at making a nice blend of the two (although in XI it was really instanced, but you get my point) and XIV so far has managed the same way.
I think people don't want to lose this nice balance the current game is holding and I really hold Square-Enix and the developers see these threads and make a wise decision on the matter based on what people are saying. I don't think anyone is purely against a "content finder" but I think people are against it when everything is instanced and it becomes 'required'.
