    You know its kinda sad that the solo Main quest instances are often way more difficult than the so-called expert dungeons while running it with three randoms..I was kinda exited to read that Yoshida said that we should not pull big in the 3.4 dungeons because they will be harder than the ones before...but how disappointed it was that we did not even die once in a all random run with all four new and the tank mass pulling as much as possible..Its just so boring running the dungeons again and again while barely even pay attention to it and still winning.

    I dont want savage difficulty but at least make the hardmode versions of the dungeons more than a mindless run and leave the story dungeons easier (but make them also at least a little more difficult). So the ones that want to still run mindless things can just go into the story dungeons.

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

    I think people in this thread forget that there are a lot of different skill levels that play. A majority of the people who play don't ever read the forums, so even the voices here are a minority. I understand there are some people who are naturally good at games, or those who adapt quickly. That is not the majority though. MMO bring a lot of different people and skills to the game, and you need to understand that.

    There are hard modes, savage modes, extreme primals, etc for those who seek a bigger challenge.

    Share your expertise and provide helpful tips to those you play with, maybe of you contribute to your party with what you have learned you can help get people close to your level and things would be better for all involved

    Well picking up on what someone says , so what if they do make harder content, are people gona stay if someone new are someone that just doesnt get it , is in their party. The answer is no people dont want harder content they just want players to be better and news flash everyone doesnt play at your level. I dont wana go into a dungeon and people quit cause someone isnt gettin the machnics , I for one would always stay to the very end , but its very few people in the game like that. The thought of given players a chance is beyond this game from what Ive seen, oh your doing ifrit extreme for the first time oh we didnt do it in the first two tries lets quit. Oh your doing king moogle for the first time oh we didnt get it done the first time lets abandon, even seen it in temple of qarn oh you died to doom lets get out of here. No im just talkin about my own performance ha, just what Ive seen from the community

    I would. But as I'm currently also playing an MMO with dungeons that ARE challenging (unless you WAY outgear it by like two raid tiers, which is not the majority of the population), I'm used to the possibility of wiping on a boss a few times, and it doesn't faze me. I do agree that FFXIV has bred a certain... intolerant community. But that is BECAUSE the dungeons are so easy. Such an attitude is extremely rare in the other MMO I play; people are much more amenable to other players learning mechanics, because we all know that things are tough.

    If you want to change the overall player attitude, you have to create an environment for it, unfortunately.

    so the "good choice" is rather a significant percentage of people are bored to death and leave like wow?

    We're not asking for crazy hard, but most dungeons right now are so easy you can almost auto-pilot them (I've had runs where 2 of us were drunk as heck and we had a rookie... did just fine).

    The problem with sharing our expertise is... very little content needs even a sliver of what we can offer a random; most content simply doesn't need it so people ignore us. Not to throw people under, but many of the "I'm a casual" etc. posts here embody this mindset. You cannot share wisdom with a player when they refuse to grow and are stuck in their little bubble as you'll likely get "eh, it works for me...".

    And that's where the problem is: we need to go from autopilot dungeons to requiring SOME brain capacity. As I've said, you can make WC level content without making it Savage level. A little bit of challenge isn't a bad thing. Naunet nailed it with our community: we're impatient because stuff is so easy. It creates the mentality of "if they can't get THAT, they're morons". I myself am guilty of this, but we're products of our environment. If somewhat pushed, people CAN move beyond the crazy easy designs we have for dungeons... but they don't have to, so why bother? If someone can continue skating by, they will.

    but you actually do not no this , I really wish we had raid numbers, cause I have always heard that people barely even did savage raids less than ten percent of the game many people didnt even do binding coil until you could unsync are overgear it , so I dono how many people it is , But I dont really think this game is 50 percent hardcore players Im totally not seeing it , Id love some numbers on any savage percentage or clears if you have some
