    Here is another few,

    ..... Swimming!

    ..... Warhammer Job.

..... Multi-rider (2+) mounts that remain when dismounted, maybe our expedition airships so we can take the FC on field trips. Bonus points if it has a FC chest and Bell for group gathering.

..... Polymorph emotes, like we had in a few of the Halloween events, I want be a bat sometimes for fun, or a imp.

    ..... glowing eyes face emote.

..... a training room (call it a Danger Room for the hell of it) that can be added to a FC house a la workshop. Allows for scaled up or down versions of trials, dungeons, and raids that can be paused as needed. To make FC training a real thing.

..... the Crystal Braves back, let the little Emo Elf offer them as Ishgard's new Grand Company. I only wish this because if Ishgard gets a GC, that means Ala Mhigo will too in time, and I want that bad. I want transfer my RP toon from the Flames to the IDK.... the Purple Gryphons?

..... In-game Lore Library that can be added to rooms. Sell it in the Mogstation and have it be equal to the real one. Also update it as the book is.

..... leveling potions and msq skip potions for my alts to I can add rooms for them all in my FC house.

I want a West, East, North, and South area of each region like in the ARR areas. One of the problems with HW areas is that you don't see a transition of areas and sometimes there's no creativity because of that.

    Something like

    Western Xelphatol
    Central Xelphatol
    North Xelphatol
    South Xelphatol

I also really hope xelphatol is an area in stormblood...would be really lazy of them if it's just a dungeon...

Because Diadem works so well in that department.

    Here's my wishlist:

I hope Stormblood brings a hardcore server, so all of the FFXI-loving fans can go to it, and play with IT+++ mobs in the overworld, with magic/low-hp aggro, and grind endlessly for +1 stats on 72hr-spawn monsters that only 1 party of 8 can claim at a time.

In addition to that, block all of those players from the forums so they can't complain about how "hard and unrelenting" it is to play on this new server. Or brag about how "awesomesauce" they are, because they obtained the +1 glimmer item from the big boss that took 10 hours to kill.

you know, or they could add a system like in WoW, where you can get your gear drops, but you don't have tomestones to buy them. Obtaining gear in WoW is substantially more fun than it is here. Here, it feels like a chore. There, it feels like a purpose. Obviously, different strokes for different folks, but that is my opinion.

I specifically said to remove Diadem. The issue with diadem is not the randomized stats, it's the content itself is so brutally boring, it very nearly makes your eyes bleed.

Then give ideas. Don't just say "remove this" as it appears you want no replacement at all in your original post. Grinding for gear directly can also be rewarding, or the biggest crap shoot in the world. You have to factor in drop rates, which piece drops from which mob, how many of those mobs there are in a given instance, etc..

    In other words:
Mob A can drop hand armor, OR a crystal.
Mob A has a 12% chance to drop hand armor.
Mob A picks randomly which specific job it drops hand armor for.
Mob A only occurs in one instance in Dungeon P.

The more you add to it, the more your chances dwindle to get Item A for your Job A. Yeah, you could get lucky, but not everyone is that lucky. Look at the countless threads complaining about the atma system.

The tomestone system allows at least some reward for continuing to do objectives. And allows you to eventually purchase the item you want, instead of endlessly farming for the chance at obtaining ones you don't want, to get to the one you do want. This was a major flaw with FFXI, imo. It created an arbitrary time sink.

As for Diadem, I would compare it loosely to FFXI's Dynamis. Another arbitrary time sink, that you would spend countless hours in, trying to obtain a piece of gear. In the early days, it would require large groups of people, and rely on the honor system of 64 people lotting the same item at once. You referred to Diadem as "brutally boring." Try doing it for 3 hours at a time, without seeing your piece of gear drop at all.

I also don't like Diadem, because it's generic and endless loot farming. Reminds me of Diablo III, where each mob explodes into a shower of swords and armor. So you can go too far with how much loot is in a game.

I specifically said, randomize stats on gear and have gear drop from mobs.

Adding to that, yes you are right, it can be implemented poorly - and I have no doubt the dev team would implement it poorly. I could go into full details on all of my points of how exactly they should be implemented, but it would end up being a 100 page report.

Drop rates should be frequent, randomization on stats should add longevity. You can get a drop that is a small side upgrade to your current gear (same ilvl vit/main stat but maybe crit instead of det). Sometimes the drops will be slight downgrades, and then you can vendor them (or trade for seals or whatever). Obviously, the better the gear, the rarer the drop.

The tomestone system creates a system where you can predictably get exactly what you want in a given time frame. Some people like this predictability. However, to me it creates a system where obtaining gear is no longer fun and is more like a chore.

As for Diadem, I would compare it loosely to FFXI's Dynamis. Another arbitrary time sink, that you would spend countless hours in, trying to obtain a piece of gear. I never played FFXI. After being inside Diadem for all of 20 seconds, I realized what a horrible mess it was. I was really excited for an 'exploratory mission', as exploration in MMORPGs is incredibly fun (usually). This wasn't exploratory at all. It was literally grind gigantic mobs for 90 minutes straight. I don't see why if a piece of content is horrible why I would want to do it for 3 hours, or why someone having done it for 3 hours is a warrant for why it's good to have it 90 minutes (or even 10 minutes). Instead, they should just focus on fun content.
