I noticed I was not getting heals as a tank. Thought maybe healer knows when to heal me.
My HP went really low. I see the healer casting cure but not on me.

I honestly don't see what a raid BLM, who presumably has better gear, food, and potions than me, as well as a static who's willing to work with them to make their rotation easier, does in A12S, has anything to do with what I or any other BLM does in DF with random people.

Eh, you said, "Thunder has no place in a level 60 rotation". You didn't preface it with under certain restrictions, just "no place". Also, I am not really sure that the above mentioned stuff really affects your rotation that much, does it?

The WAR had to apply all their Storm's Eye debuffs themselves, and I certainly never once saw Dancing Edge up. I suppose Huton, Mutilate and Shadow Fang are all myths as well. As a final topping on the cesspit cake, they kept putting on and taking off Kiss of the Wasp, and had it off the majority of the time.

I should start demanding payment for my carrying services; I'll need some help for my inevitable back problems.

That's true enough. I'm just annoyed that I had to do all the DPSing by myself. Not that I can't, we still finished the dungeon in about 15 minutes, but I've seriously seen it completed in 10. The Doton spam, lack of DoTs, and constant flipping of Kiss of the Wasp just felt like an extremely spiteful trolling though. Both the AST and NIN, in fact, managed to get themselves killed at the last boss, presumably so that the WAR and I would have to carry them even more.

On an unrelated note, I can't believe it took me this long to realise that I can just cast Adloquium and Eye for an Eye on my fairy, as SCH, and then deploy it back to myself when I'm trying to solo something.

At the risk of sounding uninformed, do DF parties go by Data Centers? I'm on Aether and it's not exactly common to run into people like you describe. Last night I had a bad Mhcah run but that's once every few runs... either that or I'm just dumb lucky.

If you're using the Duty Finder and not in a full party they pull people within your data centre to fill up the rest of the slots. List of what servers are on what data centre can be found here.

While I won't say the quality of players on Aether is bad, I can see how some people may have some terrible luck with it compared to others. I'm generally pretty thick skinned when it comes to "low skill play" but I was in an ARF yesterday where I was a WHM who was doing... far too much carrying. *Coughs lightly*

Will also admit that, having been on Excalibur for a brief period of time (Primal data centre), the Aether player base feels better than Primal. It's not much leaps and bounds better but it definitely is better. *Shakes fists at stupid LotA, ST, WoD, and WC runs while on Primal*

But as I said, 11 would be the maximum difference, and assumming that he had the best accessories available to him (ie dungeon loot). With just level 20-ish white quality accessories that are more readily available to alt jobs (and are also given through the main story), you're looking at a mighty +2 vit per piece, meaning he'd have only been lacking 4 vit.

It's really not something that should make or break anyone at that level. I'm uncertain why you feel it's such a crime.

I've also seen a NIN continuously toggle poison on and off, before. It was baffling. Is there something in the tooltip that would make people want to do this?

But no, this still wasn't as bad as the mentor NIN. To start with, the only ninjutsu I ever saw them use throughout the whole run was Doton. WAR still moving in the middle of a pull to the next group? Doton! Large pull? Doton! 3 mobs left? Doton! Boss? YOU GUESSED IT, DOTON! I had a friend tell me the mentor crown is just a status symbol and not anything beyond that (and by golly gosh I feel he is right). I usually expect so called "mentors" who use the mentor roulette to not be utter trash, but sometimes that's just asking for too much...

Sorry for the noobish question but I think this time I'll finally get an answer: when are you supposed to stun? Ever since that dungeon came out I always got mixed responses saying to stun before the laser appears or after, nothing ever worked so after a while I gave up trying.
It may have been because the tank (or other party members) would stun it and when I tried to stun (as monk) it was already resistant? I don't know, now I just do level 50 roulette as a scholar so I don't have any means to stun... It would still be nice to know tho. >_<

Edit: I am asking when to stun the last boss of Qarn HM.

And for my story... Well, I almost capped tomes of scripture just by doing C4 to get my last shaft. I finally got the drop but I am not willing to repeat the experience.

I stun after the tether appears that attaches him to his target. Stun resistance can be a problem, especially if people are using them as part of their rotation. Usually it's up to the tanks, since they'll always have a stun available; not all dps get one. If nothing else, ask the tank, or tell them you'll handle stuns.
