3.5/4.0 Speculation & Discussion (Spoilers)

The final Shadow of Mhach raid will take place in either the Floating City of Nym or an interstitial world between ours and the Void (like the World of Darkness). Scathatch is Queen of the Land of Shadows in Celtic myth, after all...

Crackpot theory: Where DID Ozma go to after we defeated it? Some giant voidsent with the power to swallow ENTIRE CITIES doesn't just poof out of existence just because we punched it a couple times (and filled it with arrows, and slashed at it, and... You get the point).

I think it's likely that it wasn't just a protector of the Nullstone, it swallowed something else that the Voidsent needs to revive Scathatch. If it didn't swallow Scathatch herself, or she didn't outright create Ozma in the first place. Would it have vomited out everything it swallowed somewhere?

Also adding to the hopes that we see another Beast Tribe alliance quest. I especially want to follow up with the Ixal seeing as we've found their homeland. Not to mention Azys Lla is super barren as is, it's as if there's something else that's meant to be added there.

I can get ya some neat stuff like starter eggs or a Type: Null egg in recompense. (Regrettably you don't get Type: Null until the postgame, and even if you did have one before then you don't get the memory drives that turn Silvally into Arceus lite until then...)

But seriously, I only just met Gladion, and he's precious, so bringing up characters like Ragyo "I kill my own children" Kiryuin gives me much more cause for worry than I want from a Pokemon game.

That nonsense aside, I was struck by a random thought today: what if the Girl In Red really is Yda, but we're not actually seeing her in the "future" as Yoshida worded it. She doesn't have her tats because she hasn't gotten them yet. One thing 1.0 had that 2.X hasn't tried is the extended Echo flashback. Maybe we're going to get one of those?

I would love to see the Beastmen Alliance in action again. One of the best bits of the of the end quest of the ARR beasttribes was seeing badasses from the different tribes fight together. I am not expecting it but it would be glorious.

Considering I actually enjoyed the mind-tripping heavy use of echo in 1.0, I would absolutely LOVE to have at least part of 4.0 be an extended flashback.

I would love to see the Beastmen Alliance in action again. One of the best bits of the of the end quest of the ARR beasttribes was seeing badasses from the different tribes fight together. I am not expecting it but it would be glorious.

To be honest it's something perfect for wrapping up everything related to the Beast Tribes towards the end of every expansion, just as the Moogle Delivery quests would be likewise brilliant as part of the final patch to give closure/check ups where certain minor and major NPC's are concerned.

I'd prefer that than more Hildibrand, honestly. It's a shame he gets so much focus in comparison to other side stories after 2.0.

Yeah, I love Hildibrand but honestly would like a bit more variety. One of the things I really liked about the Scholisticate, at least in principle, was it was actual serious storyline. It also shows both the divide in classes and the resentment still exists as well as how those trying to bridge that divide are doing about it.

Hmm... I wonder if Eric from the MNK quests will pop up in Stormblood at all, particularly since he still lives out of Ala Mhigo and is mainly in Eorzea for research purposes.
