Anything BUT viera race, PLZ show your support

Have you seen the AuRa emotes? It's like watching an idol anime/sentai show. Also, who do you think SE cares the most about? If Japan doesn't want or care for it, PLEASE DON'T LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

So I guess Roegadyn (and the other four races) just don't exist, eh? If what was apparently said at Fan Fest was true (regarding that SE won't make a not-cute race because the Japanese players won't like them), then SE will need to snuff that policy. English, French, German and many other players of different nationalities all want different things.

While extremely unlikely to happen, I'd love it if SE made something similar to 'Galka' a third clan for Roegadyn (similar build and of course, the tail). Galka are adorable.

I really fail to see why people are so against [race X] being added? Aside from wanting another specific race instead, what's the issue? Since when do we need the approval of the handful of people complaining to add something?

Why aren't we happy that something new is being added? When the Au'ra came out, I had no intention or desire to ever play one. Never have. But I was happy for those who were excited for them.

It's mostly because Viera don't really add anything new with their appearance (much like the female Au Ra, who look extremely similar to Miqo'te). Viera are better off being a third clan of Elezen, but without the rabbit ears.

That's why I'm against the addition of Viera, anyway. Just another boring race for the boring basket of no variety.

Me personally just don't see why we need a new race every expansion now, like it's drilled into people's heads that Heavensward gave us a new race, so that means every new expansion will do it. If people want it that's cool, got nothing against you.

Well, I see that you gave them nearly identical skin tone, identical hair color, identical eye color, identical hair style...

Well, I mean, I suppose you do have to actually try and make them look identical to try and support your argument?

Thing is, I actually didn't have to try to make them look similar. It was that easy.

Besides, even without that picture, any time I or someone else brings up that Yoshi-P said in an interview that Viera look similar to Miqo'te, someone will/may chime in and say "and the Au Ra don't?" or something to that extent.

you know that viera ((ff12)) look more like elezen with animal part, more than hyur with animal part?

gosh even the FFAT version is not close of it....
people simply think, because it have animal part it's like miqote or au ra, the thing is.... it's not mandatory, the fact that some race that look human like with animal part work together make sense. we see it with the beast tribes, they don't look that much human like and are not working with human-like race. even the roe with them bulky build are still human like... only the lala look different, but well they are mouse we can ignore them.

viera or any race added can have it own identity, but i want to point something that some people need to understand. a race not human like, will never happend! why? because adapt every damn armor of the game for them skeleton and body will be near impossible task. more extension pass, more impossible it become. we are not in wow where armor are simple, most of the armor of ff14 have tons of detail. and adapt this detail for make it work with a race that have a too different build or skeleton will be too costly and time consuming.

plus, like said, the number of people that want to play something a bit different are not legion. european, american, japanese.... everyone prefer play something that nice to look and more close of them. that not new, exept really powerfull concept like werewolf that always call a lot of people. you will rarely have people that will want to play this sort of monster race. that the sad truth....

I've already accepted that a beast-like race won't ever happen, however I will never accept that a not-cute race will never happen (because of incredibly stupid reasons). When I say different, I picture something akin to Dwarves (like in Dragon Age). It's a short race, but it's not cute. That's actually different. Viera is, like you said, pretty much an Elezen with rabbit ears. Even if SE give them their own face (as they do), they'll still have a body very similar to something that already exists. A dwarf on the other hand... you could toss the Roegadyn argument in there, but tell me; do we have a short muscular race?
