That's SE way of telling us how much they like us EU playersWhaaaat?
After months of waiting for the promo to arrive to Spain now you're telling us we are not getting it??
I would have gone with the French campaign without a doubt if I had known that we weren't getting it in Spain and now it's too late
I feel so disappointed... I've wanted these outfits for months and now it looks like I won't be able to get them... I'm really really sad.
What are we supposed to do now?![]()
Out of curiosity, is anybody in the know as to why European players are screwed over like this? WoW, for instance, bumped up the subscription price for UK players in particular not too long ago so it's by no means a problem limited to FFXIV alone. The price of the Heavensward CE was also bumped up for UK players with not statement as to why.
If it's related to specific trade laws/loss of potential profit then it would be very helpful if the community team let us know so we can write a letter to our local politicians in the hope of seeing the situation addressed.
Sadly, it is a one time thing. Shame, but I guess since I'm European, I should be used to getting the short end of the stick when it comes to gaming.
It need not be a one time affair. They already brought it over to America and Europe from Japan despite originally planning to host it as a Japanese exclusive affair. They've done the same with certain items formerly exclusive to the China region. So making it clear that a lot of us are willing to shell out number on the Mog Station for the items is our best bet at the moment. This isn't like the Yo-Kai event were everybody could acquire the items if they put effort in. This is a case of European players being unable to have an equal playing field.

Literately we have only a small hope that /MAYBE/ our some sort of amazon will do the promotion. If not, we're just really out of luck.
After reading this, I am glad I had the foresight to at least buy the last issue of GamesMaster magazine instead of waiting for the Italian's promo... Still sad that Italy and Spain won't get their own promos.
I hope we'll see the items on mogstation at some point but I am doubtful about that.

We're not out of luck. We can band together - civilly - to ensure that we let the developers know that there's a demand for the items in question and that we, as customers, do not wish to be treated like an afterthought just because we happen to live in European countries. It was people banding together that led to European players getting their own servers (though I, personally, remain on Balmung since that's where the bulk of RP is). Keeping this thread active is important too - as is potentially sending feedback through the appropriate in-game/online channels.
In short? Where there's a will there's a way.
Im sad for our friends Italy and Spain![]()
There is like a 100 gamestop stores across germany. That's not sparse at all lol.
The only thing I would complain about is how there are differences like in some shops u could buy anything and in the one I got my codes from it was exclusive to games gonna ask in a different shop tomorrow I guess.
Also I offer my help to get codes for people if anyone is interested.
