BURN!!! (extra crispy)Well, you certainly make a LOT of negative posts; I know b/c I've read 'em.
To the point where you even have to write a little line in your sig to prove that you actually like the game! And then a little note asking why nobody ever pays attention to you writing that. Maybe people don't notice because your negative posts come off, yeah. Really negative.
In a post earlier today, you wrote:

<cool FFXIV image here>
Lotor, Perfect world, EQ2, D&D etc etc, they do also have way more people playing than this game :/ should tell you somethingWell, you certainly make a LOT of negative posts; I know b/c I've read 'em.

The sig thing is a joke to a certain few here. (Not you obv)Well, you certainly make a LOT of negative posts; I know b/c I've read 'em.

Name one? GW2, Firefall, Not to mention TERA is technically going to be free in the US/EU. vindictus. If you include games that you buy but are free after (Like XIV...) we got mw3, bf3, lots of xbox games, Minecraft.. That list goes on a long way. These are games I see better, through personal taste, I think that needs explaining a little?
But the thing is, I do not religion myself to one game, I play multiple games, I like them all for different things, but mainly for long term entertainment. I post a lot of negative but I also post a lot of positive, at least when I am negative often talk about the game and express in fair detail, I at least can have a good debate.
But you people who hate us negative turn it into insulting attacks, telling us to GTFO and putting the troll label on us because you dont seem to understand not everyone likes the same thing as you. Its a funny thing in this world that we all have our unique tastes and enjoyment.
What is sad is .... we want the same thing, we both want the game to be "Better" but dont meet on the definition of what that is. And so it becomes a tail of the forum trash talk which eventually leads down to some forum of trolling.
Whats worse is "Troll" has become so overused and misused its lost all meaning, you get the true ones who do troll, then you get people who just have their own concern but its of negative attitude and they post this because Yoshi asks them to, he tells us all to post our comments, complimentary or negative he wants to hear and the community cannot handle this and burden him with a status.
Then there is people like you who have a snap judgemental because of another persons opposite opinion. Because there is better games I cant play this one? See when you read my comment you see "Oh he is saying there are better games we all must play as xiv sucks." But I am not saying that, I clearly said "You see it as perfect" "others dont" "I can find lots of games for free that are better", I do not see this a perfect game, its decent and slowly coming back to life but its not perfect and others also share that opinion, not all but some others, and I personally (me...) know better free games as stated.
You think I'd run a site and dedicate it to myself if I was not passionate about the game? I want change and I want my opinions to go through, so I state them, that is what the forum is for and you are entitled to not like it, but its not Wrong or Incorrect or something that should be banished because I have an opinion and you have yours. That is like me saying everyone who likes the game should stfu complaining about trolls and play the game, but I dont....
Hope you read with thought, maybe you'll realise that a lot of negative posts is just someone a lil upset or has .. you know, a different opinion?
Don't try to bring logic into this PV, fanboys will always see any criticism as a threat to their very livelihood.

Much like cynics and people who are continually trying to paint a worse picture than it actually is will always try to find some fault in something positive?

Just because your willing to pay a subscription for a unfinished product doesn't mean your opinion is more valid then someone who does not wish to pay it and has issues with FFXIV.

First: It doesn't matter what "the vast majority" agree or disagree with.
If you feel it's not worth it, then it's not worth it to you.
If he feels it's worth it, then it's worth it to him.
What anyone else thinks is irrelevant to yours or his opinion. Of course, unless you form your opinions entirely around what "the majority" think rather than thinking for yourself. If that's the case... well, it would be pretty sad.
However, entertaining your assertion... Even if it did matter, as of the current results in this thread, those who feel it is worth money outnumber those who don't by almost 2.5 times. 422 in favor of subs to 176 against as of my posting this.
Kinda shoots your "vast majority" statement out of the water, don't it?
Now go ahead and bitterly bark about how "those people don't count 'cause they're all SE fanboys"... or something ridiculous of that nature. That is, after all, how your type usually dismisses any opinion you don't agree with, isn't it?

Of course it's not. Everyone's subscription dollar is equal.
I'd like to think that's kind of common sense.

Yes, and McDonald's burgers are clearly superior to one at a smaller but higher quality burger chain... because more people eat at McDonald's.
Because "more popular" always = "better". Right?
I'd have thought by now that more people would have caught on that the whole pleading to popularity logical fallacy thing doesn't hold water. Yet so many still try to argue that way.
Question, Ostia... How do you choose the games you play? Do you choose to try out new games because they look interesting and fun to you? Or do you choose them based on how popular they are? Does something being more popular automatically mean it's superior to you, even if you don't like it and wouldn't even give it a second look otherwise?
When playing games, do you forge your own path, make your own choices and play the way that results in the most fun for you? Or do you follow the guides and "say-so" of "everyone else", 'cause it's the "more popular" way to play. Would you consider that the "superior" way to play the game, simply because "more people play that way", even if you don't find it very fun?
Do you have a mind of your own, or do you just go along with "what more people do"?

All the people eating at McDonalds thank so!
hah I'm just nip picking, your point makes sense, but the issue is, higher quality burger free? or same price? Its not equal cost. You pay for quality. XIV is free and so are the games he mentioned, both free, one is far higher quality but no one seems to care much, why is that!
