I do agree that haste will be desired and extremely popular, and it would not become overpowered since most materia is limited to one particular slot, likely hand or feet for haste%.

Finally, why does repose never work for me lol? Even with dark seal. I just don't get 'enfeebling potency' I guess, or magic accuracy...no idea. Again, confusion.
The way I currently understand it, is magic accuracy increases the chance of not getting spells resisted, while enfeebling magic/potency increases the duration of effects like paralyze/blind as well as DoT damage from Poison/Bio type spells.

Thus the need for specific materia, since the attributes themselves are already split. ^^

A couple posts above mine the poster wanted to add materia to his chocobo, I was asking where that slot was located physically.
Don't joke if you can't read someone else's joke <_>.

As a THM who prefers a really weak and futile style of play, this disappoints me.
Fixed. Kind of a shame actually because early on, things like bio/dia/the elemental DoTs/buffs were actually decent spells, but they've been nerfed to oblivion.

Until they make these spells meaningful ant not fail half the time, a couple points of magic potency isn't going to do anything, and unless you're either doing damage or healing it, you're not being very useful.

Have you played above THM36 at any point in time?
I personally have a 50THM and CON and have been praised for how effective DoTs are, regarding their percentile influence on NM with massive health pools which is frankly overpowered.

But thank you for your opinion.

I do fully agree that they currently do not have as effective a role as previous patches, and only fit in with single target "bosses" for a powerful niche role currently.
THM could easily handle Dodore, Haughtblox, and rank 70 monsters solo, due to effective use of enfeebling and enhancing magic, mainly. When balance is struck, there will be a place for more than damage and healing.

I would really like to hear what specifics people would like added.

I was in the very first wave of alpha testers, and I've been playing the game on and off since it's release. The effect of (at least THM, I can't speak for CON anymore) Bio and Dia used to be much better than it is now. All enfeebles/dots also resist far too often on enemies of your level. Over the course of their duration, all the DoTs did damage comprable to a nuke. now, their DoT is (as far as potential total damage done in percentage of a monster's health) is probably weaker than those spells were in FFXI. At first I was even praising SE this time around for not being afraid to make DoTs that don't suck (of course, they eventually did make good DoT spells in FFXI in the Helixes), then they went and made them weak again after the first combat revamp.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but my DoTs aren't "beastly." I cast both bio and dia II, and I can barely notice their effect. It takes a very long fight for them (and most enfeebles for that matter) to really have an impact. Stronger DoTs fit in better with the intended faster pace of the game.

"Augments Arbor's Call" - Adds minimap dot's for botany locations when you use the ability.
"Improves Logging/Mining/Fishing" - Increases your stamina bar to lead to a 5th/6th/7th etc chance at logging in the same spot.

The Materia system has the potential to be the greatest thing in FFXIV, if only they will work on it, and continue to improve on it's function.

To speak to the original topic brought up in the thread, you better believe we have more ideas for types of materia in the future!
